I agree with you and Jim here. I already pre-ordered Disgaea D2, Final Fantasy HD X & X-2 and Kingdom Hearts ReMix 1.5 so I'll have plenty to play. But even if I didn't I'm getting Killzone: Shadow Fall and Watch Dogs for PS4 at launch (maybe Knack if I find the cash) which should last me until inFamous: Second Son comes out. By then I don't know what other unannounced games/third party games I'll want but the point is I'd rather have a couple great games a month (...
Well said. And another thing I would add is the unannounced games from both. Without doing the actual math I think Microsoft has two more exclusives to announce (not necessary for launch). Meanwhile Sony has, I believe, around eleven exclusives to announce (again none are necessarily for launch).
For me the Xbox One's lineup is a little more robust, but I feel like the most compelling games are for the PS4. Both are good overall, though.
But like you said...
And almost every title one the Xbox One is on the PC...Your point?
As long as the ending of Mass Effect 3 isn't made meaningless.
SPOILER!
I was one of the many who disliked the ending. I'd even go so far as to say I had an empty feeling afterwards and it wasn't until they released the original Mass Effect for PSN that I replayed the series again. However, as bad as I think the ending was one thing I always assumed was that Shephard would die, and even though I think they conveyed it in a poor manner I do think u...
I guess this is cool, but current Xbox Live Gold carries over from Xbox 360 correct?
A new fan of Disgaea! Need any help just PM me :)
Dang I missed the first 6 seasons. Are they streaming on Netflix?
The thing I don't get is this. When it comes to the specs of the console, the PS4 is better in virtually every way. Some like to quip that if you care about specs buy a PC. Fine, even though a consoles power affects many things (multiplatform games, for example), but I'm willing to just gloss over that because what really matters is games.
Which is where I'm confused. Consider Sony's exclusive games this generation then consider Microsoft's. Compare the de...
Very cool. Hope the PS4 takes advantage of this as well.
I don't worry about it. I enjoy reading intelligent comments and hearing opinions different from myself. I hope the comments I make are reasonable - though sometimes I imagine I don't do the best job of explaining my point. If after that somebody chooses to disagree that's their prerogative even if many of them are people doing so for idiotic or immature reasons. If it makes them happy then good for them :D
It would make a difference to a lot of people. To me it wouldn't. I'm buying a PS4 not only for the games I know about, but for the games Sony hasn't announced and hasn't even started developing. I've owned Nintendo and Microsoft consoles as well as Sony consoles, but for my Sony is 3 for 3 for delivering a great, varied gaming experience and I have no reason at all to believe the PS4 won't do the same.
So wait, let me get this straight. It's all but been confirmed that some time shortly before the PS4 reveal in February the console's RAM was doubled from 4GB to 8GB. Now, several months later I'm supposed to believe the OS suddenly takes up almost all of the RAM available from before the February switcheroo?
Hey, I don't have inside information. This just doesn't make logical sense to me. Hopefully Digital Foundry is wrong. I believe they are.
Honestly I don't mind this. I love my Vita, but there is zero chance using the Vita will be a more comfortable, more responsive input device compared to the DualShock 4. The fact that every PS4 game will have remote play is what really matters!
Oh, and games. I guess those are kinda important too huh? :D
I perfectly accept your reason for getting an Xbox One. To me, I think it's a bad idea to buy a product (especially with the negativity surrounding it) because I think the focal point of it will cease being a gimmick and be innovative going forward. I understand that you think Kinect will change gaming, I just wouldn't buy the Xbox One before it's proven to me.
Again, not crapping on your decision or logic just giving you my perspective. Also, I'm willing to a...
Metaphor time!
Sony is like the guy at McDonalds that takes your order, then gives it to you exactly how you want it with the added benefit of doing it with a smile on their face.
Microsoft is the guy at McDonalds that takes your order with a scowl, gets it wrong the first time, then gets it sloppily right the second time.
I know this is a crude metaphor, but it's extremely reductive to assert that Sony "listening" is the same t...
Honestly, we don't even need to start comparing incidents, compare vision. Microsoft wants an entertainment device whereas Sony wants a game console. Plain and simple. That is why, at the end of the day, a gamer should trust Sony and not Microsoft.
Obviously Sony wants to offer good entertainment value besides games just like Microsoft invested a ton of money in games, but as a gamer do you want a company focusing on games or one that is focusing on entertainment as a who...
Time after time it has been stated the Xbox One has only 5GB of RAM for gaming. Microsoft has stated it several times. And the 201GB/s bandwidth for the Xbox One is a complete fallacy. It's adding together processing numbers that literally cannot perform at the same time, like trying to breathe in at the same time as breathing out.
The PS4 is better in virtually every conceivable way when it comes to specs and statistics. And even if there is an aspect that the Xbox One b...
Great news! So excited to see indies getting so much love because a lot of the most creative, most interesting games nowadays are indie games.
Obviously most everybody that buys a Super Smash Bros. game is doing so primarily for the multiplayer component, but this seems like a cheap way to cut costs of the game. Nintendo prides itself for producing only the highest quality first party titles, so I was expecting them to try to make at least a fun/co-operative story mode.
In the end it's not a big deal, but it does look bad for Nintendo.
Skyrim on the Xbox 360 versus Skyrim on the PS3.
And I bought it on the PS3, so don't you dare say they were the exact same.
