I just hope in Uncharted 4 they do a better job with Elena's character than in Uncharted 3. Don't get me wrong, I love Drake's Deception; but I don't think her character was handled that well. They established her as a great female character and love interest, then played around with their relationship in UC2 while having Chloe as the "Bond Girl" so to speak. But in UC3, it felt like Elena was used as a convenient plot device rather than a cohesive element of the ent...

No. Amy Hennig was the lead writer for Uncharted 3. She was also the lead writer for the first Uncharted, as well as the creator of the franchise.

As much as it pains me, not all great games move systems, let alone sell well to begin with. It would not surprise me if X is legitimately great; but there are countless excellent games that don't sell terribly well. I mean, Xenoblade Chronicles hasn't sold a million copies.

I hope this game blows people away though.

Sony isn't going broke. They didn't sell off buildings to keep from bankruptcy, or else why would they spend hundreds of millions of dollars purchasing Gakai as well as purchasing a new office complex (I believe in Japan as opposed to New York).

They have a very healthy insurance branch. They have a healthy banking branch. They have a mobile phone branch that while not on the level of Samsung or Apple is gaining momentum and is profitable. They are in the entertainment industry, and while some years they might take a big hit (After Earth) generally speaking they are profitable (blockbusters like The Amazing Spider-Man will help). As you well know their gaming division is doing quite nicely at the moments.

Meanwhile t...

You ugh, might want to rethink that statement...

That is just wildly inaccurate. At the very least Sony's insurance division has been stable and highly profitable.

I definitely agree. First order of business is to get Zero Escape 3 made!

I really hope there is a playable demo at E3. If there isn't I'm going to be worried about the game.

Still very hyped for this!

This game is pretty killer, puhuhu.

Yup. It's just too bad more gamers can't enjoy both kinds of games :/

I think the issue is most Nintendo games are still heavily rooted in the old school game design philosophy. Great gameplay, minimal story. And as the industry evolves (or devolves depending on the gamer) and more and more games have legitimately interesting/well told stories, there is a divide amongst both gamers and journalist.

There are some who see Nintendo's design philosophies antiquated - still very well done - but antiquated, because a game with fundamentally no dr...

Hope this game is great.

This game looks really interesting. I admit that as a PlayStation 4 only owner (until I can afford a secondary console) I'm envious. I hope this game turns out great.

Forbes, did your site get hacked by an amateur blogger or something? This is not reality.

Ken Levine, just keep making games you are passionate to make. That's the most important thing.

In my mind it will be kind of like a mix between the QTE implementation in Heavy Rain and in God of War.

In Heavy Rain, if you fail a QTE the scene will play out as you would expect. Did you fail to kick your attacker? He punches you in the face. It keeps its pacing and tension. And it IS possible to fail, although Heavy Rain gives you enough opportunities to keep going that it feels like its an automatic win. The Telltale games are like this as well.

Another very good episode. Sadly, I feel like more and more gamers are justifying the "entitlement myth" these days and social media is a big reason why.

It all depends on what the consumer expects. Most people think this game is legitimately fun. Some think it might not have enough content to justify being multiplayer only; some think the bots might ruin the longevity of the game.

Personally, I think it is going to be a very fun game that sells very well but doesn't single-handedly sell the Xbox One. As far as hype goes, I don't pay attention to it.
