And to boot, they did that while using a non-traditional game controller method. Their franchise title - Zelda - was even part of the equation with Skyward Swords. Metroid Trilogy was also a member of the group.
People belittle Nintendo for a lot of things (which in some cases; are rightfully so), though "innovation," and "creation," shouldn't apart of their list of negatives.
What Nintendo needs to do now (with the DC franchise), is make a 3D (like Rare's DK64) version of Donkey Kong.
Open Jungle, 4 players co-op.
Nintendo should hire developers to delv sport titles. Non-Arcady (traditional), but with "Nintendo gameplay" modes.
Well done to all parties involved making this kid's wish come true. Real class being showcased by Nintendo here.
I heard Legends wasn't so great, but a few people do enjoy it. It's cheap so I might pick it up, though the Wii U has BC, and I can just play the amazing Goldeneye title on the Wii.
From what I played on Wii U, here's the list of shooters I recommend.
Mass Effect 3
Splinter Cell (the latest one on the Wii U)
Black Ops 2
Zombi U
And I heard the Deus X Wii U edition was a good port.
Forgot to add; free online, and Backward compatibility with Wii software and hardware. The Gamepad itself cost about $100-$150 dollars, so it is a good deal.
Bayonetta 2
Smash Bros. 4
Mario Kart 8
Wind Waker HD
Wonderful 101
Monster Hunter 3 HD
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Splatoon
Earthbound 1 & 3
Pandor's Tower
Sin & Punishment 1 & 2...
Well worth the price.
$200 for a Wii U (amazing deal).
Based on the Wii U's exclusive library of software alone; it's well worth the price.
It's foolish to have microtransactions in a full priced game, though how do you expect companies to make money?
I don't agree MT's - though games are getting bigger, and gamers want software that's akin to movies in the fmv department. Publisers can't up the price of retail software because that'll condense their average profit margins, and ''on disc DLC'' is out of the question since Capcom had to learned the hardway with their Street ...
Reminds me of Link to the past and Secret of Mana (and final fantasy's overworld).
Looks great.
You misunderstood me.
Let's say all the vo work was done in Europe; being an region-free console, all Nintendo would have to do is ship euro copies to English speaking areas. Maybe it isn't as convoluted as I'm imagining it, though having region-free hardware has its benefits.
I'm a Nintendo fan through and through, though I'll call bull$&@! on anything that isn't consumer friendly.
I'm buying FF5 by the way.
Here's the video: http://youtu.be/6l6T0GcgufE
Thank gosh nothing bad happened.
No, gamers aren't ready.
Going back to the NX thing, didn't Nintendo patent something to do with holographics? Ah, here it is: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/...
We might be in for a surprise.
Can't wait!
I still play melee, brawl, and the n64 original. The "Smash" franchise has huge replayability.
That's why having region-free hardware is a must for Nintendo next generation. They overpay for voice overs, having to do work for each region.
Honestly writing - this game bombed in Japan, and I can't blame them for being cautious. It's "free to start (first two chapters are free)," and Nintendo's digital service could be better, though it's functional. Games maybe tied to hardware, though you are "forced to create a profile inorder to purchas...
Lmao.
Even though the Wii was the sales monster it was, third parties still flooded it shovelware. The Borderlands collection is doable on Wii U (which would be awesome with the gamepad), Fallout 1 & 2, Castlevania, GTA collection... My point is that these games should be on the Wii U platform. Have a porting team like Tantalus Media on a contract basis.
Nintendo need to resolve their third party issues.
@Wonderfulmonkeyman
Same here! Though Nintendo seems too involved in their 3rd party handheld relations. It's like; "why can't they do the same for Wii U?"
@Sly-Lupin
Yeah, things need to change. Some things are worth imitating, and Nintendo needs to get a clue.
The Motion controls were very basic. Though it's your opinion, and I'll respect that.
