I think that sumarises it...
On the other hand, what about devaluated regions left aside? Like south america, where I live? Many publishers don't even BOTHER to release here, let alone do it at an affordable price. So you are either stuck with digital download (best option IMO for us) or a blood sucking import, w...
This place is a fanboy cavern.
In almost any other country in the world someone would have stomped on it or tried to hit it ala Mario. In USA that´s a case for the SWAT. the state of things nowadays, that and a somehow lowsy timing, must admit. But probably anytime now a "misterious box" would have pointed fingers towards some beard wearing mosque atending ala praising dude and have some city far far away carpet bombed, right? cause that´s the way they roll!
And some other people have to worry about a so called first world country running amok pretending to be the world police and standing for "peace" and "freedom" while preemptively attacking any possible threats. All in the name of the best business they know how to run: WAR.
Please don´t be so naive as to call all violence cast on the United States random... Sure, tragic and completely unjistifiable... but random?
And one sometimes has...
The silliest of people...
Granted, You may like the art style and the overall tone of one game over another. But all things considered, when tacklig specifically the technical aspects I doubt this game overshadows Crysis 3. One is a console game that will run always on a specific resolution with a given amount of antialiasing and anisotropic filtering level. While the other is a game which will be moded, and capable of running at probably twice the resolution the PS4 will probably offer, with much more antialiasing op...
People fuck and die. And sometimes they die fucking... just get over with it
So far, among all the RE I´ve played. Code Veronica I enjoyed the most. I haven´t played RE4, must admit though.
Call of duty is the KFC of games, whereas GTA would be more in the leagues of a gourmet dish
And I disagree even more with the higher resolution one! Preposterous!!
I disagree with your screenshots!
Completely agree. The 360 feels, In my opinion, ergonomically better. My only gripe is with the AWFUL D-PAD. Apart from that, it´s pretty much the definitive joystick for me...
DS3 is a nice one though. Can I play my PS3 with a 360 controller BTW?...
No... that is what a nicely done pokemon model and a pokeball look like when rendered in an environment that has nothing to do with the Pokemon cartoon-style. Sure they look nice, but I think it´s quite a departure from the series "feel". That being said. I am sure the engine could handle an incredible Pokemon game should the rendering options such as lighting and textures be adjusted to fit the actual style of the series.
"It's amazing what people have to put up with in other countries"... In many cases with you guys :P hahahaha
Now, jokes asides, try gaming in south america... Argentina at least: Expensive as hell! To begin with, each buck costs like 5 pesos and even then, resalers want to make a nice profit over the full retail price... So do the maths...
I just bought a Sony Bravia 40 inch HDTV with 3D (I figured, why not, the difference wasn´t THAT much here in argentina)... It came with a set of glasses. At first I was, Meh... then I played Trine 2. Best so far and REALLY inmersive and worth it. True: it´s just a "graphic upgrade". 3D is far from being "real" and important gameplay wise, buts when pulled off well, it looks impressive. Just play Trine 2 If you have the gear and haven´t tried it out yet. <...
@Crazyglues
Green Beret for the C64 back in 86. I was 5. I remember how amazed I was. Steady gamer since the 8 bit era, though. Sega Fan (but secretly a nintendo admirer bacn in the 16 bits) :) mostly PC gamer all through the nineties... Ahh.. Good times! :D Graphic adventures :´)
Great article BTW!
@badz149...
kaveti was being ironical... do you really think a person who stated all of the above wouldn´t know you can hook up a TV to a PC for quite over a decade now (definition and quality aside)?...
I´m just hopping for wireless joysticks now... so I don´t have to use a 5 meter USB cable from the couch to where the pc is... We´ll get there eventually, I guess... ;) see what I did there? :P
Ahhhh! The memories of those epic battles :D (drops a tear)...
BF1942, what a GREAT game!
Thanks, DICE!!
My respect! :') R.I.P.
