I think it´s just another way of bringing attention to themselves. And it does work. What, they get bashed in a forum board... big deal. But there sure is some public out there taking their message and saying "hmmm so this guys are making the next best racer"(I´m pretty sure you would call them ignorants, in your so much different attitude than that of turn10). While they won´t care for the first group they will surely be happy to earn the second´s group money. ...
While you may argue they can sound co cky or arrogant, a company is in every right to speak about the competition and how their product is superior if they feel so. Some people may find it shocking, but it can be also seen as a true sign of confidence in what they are doing. Why is all this talking such a great deal?? Thinking there was a time when it was not about the money for a company is delusional... Companies need to mantain employees and other costs in order to keep running, so it has ALWAYS been (at least partially) about the money :P
I tend to get games that are fun to play, period. I don´t quite think a moral evaluation of who developed the game is a good way of deciding wether to get it or not... but have it your way :) You might just miss a nice one if you like racing sims.
You can give all the acne, facial hair and moles and even dandruff... in game animations are still kinda stiff for my taste... I´d work on more joints and better rigging (specially for facial animation) before making more realistic looking robots :S
But I guess it´s nice anyways... go figure. I didn´t quite find Heavy Rain thaaat amazing. Not my kinda game though, I guess.
Ya know... both MS and Sony are Late to the game.... The wii had done it first and the mass public doesn´t care Natal or Eye are better. They just know they Can buy a Wii and for 200$ they will have what they should pay arround $500 (to have eye + PS3) or arround $400 (360 + whatever natal costs)...
Oh and when they ask the seller: How many games do I have for the Natal / Eye and the seller tells them: oh you have this 2 / 3 games... While the Wii has already a nice library...

You do know the game reached that figure after THREE years out in the market, and that it´s time of release the install base of the PS2 was arround 85 million consoles... Don´t you?
Halo 3 did not only sell arround 1.8 copies on release, but reached 8.1 million copies after about 6 months of it&#...

Diablo III and Starcraft II are hot on the wainting list! I can see this event coming with a real bang this year :D I hope they give a launche date for those and show some more (maybe an early beta?)... Jeeesh, waiting for Diablo III to become something more tangible is killing me XD
I hope it´s a new IP. It´s always rewarding to get something fresh! And make it multyplat, so everyone gets to ebjoy it too :D that would be great news :)
This is the best cell shading cartoon imitating characters I have ever seen... Remarkably well done. Some shots look EXACTLY like the anime (character wise). The BGs and explosions could use much more work in both poly counts and some more texture painting and detail so they would match the anime and be on par with the character models. And to someone I read above... nope this is way better than burst limit! (at least characters) Please work more on the environment!!! :)

What you drink is as important as what you eat. I´ll have some coke every now and then, but nothing beats plain ole water.
I guess more competition would make for a better product in all the fronts. I´m sure their approach would be more in the leagues of the wii rather than a 360/PS3. And I surely see them crafting a handheld rather than a tv dependant console.
As it looks right now, I must say IMHO, though I am really waiting for this game and it will surely be more than a blast to play (what really matters here :) ) I am not that much impressed. Maybe they´ll polish further on and add detail to some textures and make environments richer. Still a long way to go, so I´ll just wait and see. Shaping great,tho.
In the eyes of john doe, sony´s controller is the same as the wii (but wii having a wider library) while MS might be offering something new. And I mean the john doe that bought the wii as their main gaming console and is not a long time gamer (just a casual gaming dude). Even though, both MS and SOny won´t likely boost their sales greatly with these techs. Not at leas this gen. Wii has already cattered that audience and continue to do so.
