Some aspects may have seen an improvement, and a bit of an upgrade (to be quite hones the effect on his axe as it freezes and the texturing on it is the only obvious one I can spot), others, a definite downgrade. But, as someone has already pointed out, it´s only natural. One thing is a heavily tailored demo for a trailer at an event, another one is a full fledged game. For the sake of performance, some aspects of the visuals will see some sacrifice... volumetric lighting, draw distance,...

Owning both systems, my humble opinion is... the Switch got me back into gaming in a way that makes me feel like a kid, and I love it. PS4 has tons of goodies, and I love it, but the switch hit a sweet spot. I think this year was Nintendo´s. I hope they can keep it up, I am loving what they are doing as of late.

Really, if twitch is a free platform and the girls are not violating any EULA I don´t see this as any more than whining. Really, a girl with a nice rack draws more attention than you and you think THEY are the problem? I don´t know how it works in USA... but here in Germany (and most Europe I´d guess) anything you buy at a store / order online / contract with any service company you sign, you have 14 days to return / withdraw, money back, no questions asked. I mean, the product must be in as close as new condition as possible, of course. But that´s just common sense. So... It´s the law of diminishing returns at full play here, fellows. Differences are there, XONEX versions DOES look better, less jaggies overall sharper images and clearer textures. But as we push the boundaries of hardware into upper tiers, the gains are smaller, of course. But to imply there´s almost no difference at all is just being obsequious towards Sony´s brand... Of course it´s not a night and day difference, and nobody was expecting that.
He is just being a good sport... No need to call names or get all mad about it. He posts the questions several times, when he believes he is dodged he doubles back on the matter... There is only so much he can do. Of course he shows gratitude for EA reaching out (it´s a nice gesture, albeit, just a gesture in the end), as you are supposed to do as a professional (or aspiring to be so) journalist.... there´s no struggle. The identity is right there, with sonic Mania or generations... Sonic is a far better 2 or 2.5 D platformer, than a 3d one. When they acknowledge that and design a game with this in mind it shines... sometimes they just forget it.
Wanna play a great sonic? play sonic mania. Now THAT´s a great game.
How about waiting for the upgrade patch before comparing something that isn´t even an Xbox One X "finished" product? It looks a bit better now, and the difference will only get bigger as soon as the update is implemented.
Indeed, best game of it´s generation IMHO. And a blueprint on how a good experience and further DLC should be approached for other devs to follow.
