I did landed that plane a couple of times, but then again, I just played for the sake of doing it. When a kid I could just not get why it would crash again and again and again...
most people?... you do realize there is a HUGE amount of gamers in the 25-35 range, do you? while the average gamer might be arround 18, there still are lots of "old school" gamers that carried on their passion through many gens to this "next" one....
and even though, the site is called OLD-WIZARD, and sports a pixel wizard as a logo, what did you expect from them?
HA! I remember destroying quite a nice array of different controllers from different consoles... And Paperboy for the NES was my first broken controller on nintendo´s 8 bit (it was my cousin´s though :) )
That surely has to be an indicator for frustratingly harder games or more violent youth... :P I think youth has gotten a lot more violent, so games ought to be much more difficult back in the days XD
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?
Ol' Jack always says... what the hell?
"from what I heard"... please, play the game before you go speaking out other people´s opinion.
Crysis was a really fun game to play IMHO.
I would like to see a new IP from them. I really don´t like MGS games that much. I do recon they are excelent devs. I just don´t like MGS, that´s about it.
Why do people insist that crysis isn´t a good game?... I had a BLAST playing both iterations. Warhead a little too short though.
The game was greatly designs, it feels really open world like any other game out there. Graphics are amazing and you get as many breaths as you want to admire the scenery. It makes for somne memorable moments, and you can approach the gameplay from many different angles. You can almost go hidden and unseen through most parts, or you can go guns bla...
modern games are shorter, that´s for sure. As for the easier or harder... I find them easier. Being a gamer since the 80s I can tell you though many games relied on patterns and the memorization of them, they were still a blast to play and posed an enourmous challenge to your reflexes and skills with a joystick.
I still think nowadays gaming relies much more on multyplayer, ehre the true challenge is. It´s pretty easy to aoutsmart almost every enemy on a free roaming 3d...
Yo u do know most games nowadays are beatable within hours... while many MANY classics take a lot of practice to master and beat.
Sure, the challenge nowadays is in multiplayer mostly. But single player games have become easier and easier as it seems it is the best way to appeal to a broader audience.
The game looks impressive... though I think they are takig these: "Uncharted rulez" articles too far... I mean... it´s not a graphic revolution that will change the industry... It looks great, sure. But sooooo great?
I liked that beyonf good and evil 2 footage much more.
That looks eeeeepic :) Can´t wait to get my hands on this one!
IMO, the supposed Beyond Good and Evil 2 footage seen a few days ago looked better. But this is a close contender tho. Stunning crisp graphics
you sound like a sony rep :P
NEways... the footage looks amazing!
"COD4 came out a long time before KZ2. At that time, the online was a revolution. I am sure KZ2 would have yielded similar results if the dates were swapped"
You know... there is an added value in innovation and doing things first than others... It´s part of the merit in game development (in almost every aspect of life tbh)
Anyways... Why is people talking about KZ2 so much?
And why are they complaining about a teaser? I guess that´s ...
Prolly a realtime cutscene. The action and camera look too dynamic to be actual ingame. Though I wish they manage to achieve such an astonishing camera programming for the actual ingame (and if in fact this is ingame and I am wrong... well that´s one helluva footage)
I am tempted to say it would be the nicest looking game so far this gen.
Blizzard is la crème de la crème...
they put a lot of time, effort and quality into their products. they deserve all the love and praise they have.
3D realms was a BIG name in FPS back in the day...
It´s sad to know the NUKE logo and the Duke game days are over in their original form... :S
It´s like hearing an arcade from your childhood neighborhood closed... Sad sad sad.
I hope some dev will carry the torch and hire as many from the original cast as they can to get DNF finished, or make a true next gen rendition to a great IP from the past :)
Even if this never happens, I loved the...
Well someone had to make the genre more appealing...
I still resort to CS, UT, Quake3 If I want a good competitive game... I think you have three different and unique gameplay styles there, tweaked to the fullest, tested for years on... and you can find a LOT of skilled players to frag your brains off(you also have the oldest CODs, MOHAAs and Battlefield 1942 to ease your WWII hunger, should there be any left :P). I do agree games have become "easier" (specially FPSs on...
I know tons of people are craving for more Uncharted.... But that list might as well say only GoW III and I would have been as happy.
I do agree, both aesthetically and from a technical point of view it si still one of the best looking games to date IMHO. I speak for the PC version at least, with all maxed out, AF and AA it looks really impressive. Crysis surely has a lot over this one, but the way this ame handles climate and lighting in the 3 different main cities still amazes me, the croud density, how the city feels "alive".
Let´s hope for this new iteration they come up with a way to make t...
