I think he's pulling a bit of an early-gen Cliffie B.
It's awesome to be angry and outspoken when everybody is laughing along and agreeing, but you take it too far and suddenly "the media misquote me and gamers just don't understand!!"
@Pop
I agree that it's a different persona, but it's still comes to the same thing.
They know they can say what they want, and that they've created enough of ...
"really give credence to saying it's untrue."
The credence for it being untrue was twofold: that a very exact description of the service had been on the Microsoft website for weeks, and that the original source was a PasteBin post.
"Looks like Dynasty Warriors 2 on PS2 just with a bit better graphics."
And this is why people make jokes about Dynasty Warriors. Because they just haven't got a clue how much the franchise has evolved.
I reckon you'll be fine. I'm hoping everybody will be.
It's those that have ordered it months after that might struggle to find one.
I don't think anybody is worried that it won't work, but rather that it complicates things too much.
If the home page is basically an infinite scroll and the social page is a mishmash of everything posted by everyone you know, some of which you'll want and some of which you won't, it'll become really difficult to find the important information.
You'll be able to find it, you'll just have to go through everything else first.
I think that's part of the problem. Personally, I like the new design, but then again I like the social features.
If some of these people saw how it tied together, without the obvious focus on "likes" and "sharing," maybe they wouldn't mind so much.
I did it on your behalf.
You were right.
Both have had sales - they always have sales.
I don't know that both have had THE summer sale though. I know EU hasn't.
"However, when you consider all of the ways that you can play the game (in addition to digital means), Earthbound is harder to find than many other high-demand titles."
Not if you own a Wii U. So saying that it's a rare game, so that's why they're charging so much is a ridiculous statement.
If they had 100 digital copies to give out, sure, THEN you could justify that as a reason it was more expensive.
I wonder if somebody is trying to get the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag keyword going for them or something...
I usually just play it in my usual clothes.
@Trago
I did. You meant "because it's rare, they charge a lot."
That's a dangerous attitude to have with digital products.
It isn't a rare game.
In fact, if you head onto the Wii U store, there are literally an infinite amount of copies.
If you want a cartridge, that's a different story.
The price of Nintendo's digital content is very much something they deserve to be criticized for. Compared to other consoles, their whole store is ridiculously overpriced.
Not everything is a stretch or somebody trolling.
@die_fiend
All gaming is a waste of time, by definition. As is anything else that means anything other than your survival.
If someone does something REALLY well in whatever they want to waste their time with, good for them.
That adds to the fun though. Taking things that should be based on luck and mixing things in such a way that they're basically a sure thing.
I mean, he was playing for 8 hours and only had like 3 major mistakes. That's a hell of an achievement in itself in a game, as you say, based on luck.
There's a big difference between the stuff you're saying and making it a requirement for people who want a black character to have to go sit in the sun until they "tan" enough.
Japan were on their own side in World War 2. That's why their little portion of the war began two years before anybody else's.
" Im guessing they honestly did not think about different skin colors since most people in japan are pale."
Most people in the world aren't. They're releasing worldwide. They have offices in countries around the world.
Not a single person said "Hey, how about some black characters?"
@TongkatAli
It's an oversight. It's an oversight they've been making since the series began. If you only ...
"Not saying Fish is a saint (he isn't) but game journalism needs to die in a fire if they think it's professional to ask an indie dev (not Sony? not Santa Monica? not Yoshida on his own twitter?) about a hardware rumor."
You have no idea how games journalism works or, I suspect, journalism as a whole.
