Yeah, it seems like an odd choice.
I can't help but thing they've gone for something that has nothing attached to it in an attempt to pre-empt complaints.
Nobody can say they hate the way the plot or characters were handled, at least in comparison to the games, because there aren't any.
On one level it's very clever. On another... it isn't.
A. Where did I imply it was hard? It's in fact probably very easy. "How much will it cost to have Link appear in our game?"
Whether it's worth that amount with the Wii U userbase as it is is a completely different question. Further to that, Nintendo may not want Link appearing in a fighting game when they're pushing Smash Bros.
B. How are Nintendo costumes or Smash Bros at all linked with this? Completely different in both cases.
It's not been announced for the Wii U yet, and I reckon licencing Link probably has something to do with that.
@Extermin8or
First of all, no they don't. They say they want to apply a final layer of polish, that implies nothing.
Second of all, so what? How does that change anything I said?
"Why would the UK be the only area not getting it on time of the reason is for them to polish the game some more..."
Maybe it failed some level of QA in the UK and didn't in other territories? Maybe the regulation bodies have issued a complaint about something that needs to be edited out? Perhaps there's something about UK Vitas/firmware that are incompatible with something that wasn't necessarily tested on every Vita going.
There are a ...
Yeah, that's it. They've made several mistakes that will potentially cost and inconvenience Rockstar, but THAT's it.
"If you want to discredit someone, then you might need to look into a lot of things / look crazy places."
I didn't disagree. I said it wasn't fine. It isn't. There's no moral basis in saying "I dislike that she's knocking things I enjoy, I'd best read through everything she's ever posted online and then write-up anything that paints her in a bad light."
That's exactly what people claim she's doing to vid...
It's fine to discredit someone. It probably isn't THAT fine to search through 10 years of internet history with a goal to do so just because you disagree with their opinion on video games.
And yet it remains one of the best selling papers in the country.
Depressing, isn't it?
@Megaton
Those tend to be people caught out in having to explain something they believe, but have never actually thought about.
Written press is different. A story like this in a major newspaper probably needs to go through the original writer, an editor, maybe a researcher and then a lawyer before it's published. They have to say enough to get the implication across and get people commenting, but not enough that they're saying Rockstar is legally res...
It was an early version of Surgeon Simulator.
They probably know an awful lot about video games. They're trying to ignite a rather sizeable crowd of people that don't, however.
"Child Turned Killer by the Video Games your Children and their Friends Play" is a better headline than "Tragic Event is Tragic."
@ShinMaster
You didn't click across, huh?
He said "Same great gameplay." Was then asked for clarification, whether it would be the same as before and he repeated "same great gameplay, new kits."
"nice try but how about PSN Card and Xbox Gold Memebership btw not every gamer gives a crap about motion controls."
What difference do either of those things make? We're talking about straight up cost. You can't say "lol, PS4 is still cheaper even with FIFA" if you're not taking into account everything you get. That's ridiculous.
If you have to omit things to make a point, maybe that point isn't worth making.
@ZHZ90
How about PS4+Fifa+PS Eye?
Let's at least compare product to product here.
The important thing is that you went in with an open mind and have based your opinion on all of five minutes of gameplay.
Any less and I'd be worried you were just being angry for the sake of being angry.
It would presumably require porting. If the Vita version doesn't tie into the community levels from the PS3 games (may do - someone may be able to clarify this one), it'd mean rebuilding things from scratch, as opposed to just making a container for an already working system.
@Tony-A
Sony has had a lot of recent f2p success, sales of LPB games and DLC has dropped (probably because of the franchise's constant inclusion in Plus).
My guess? By making it free-to-play and repackaging it, they're hoping to entice families who aren't necessarily Plus subscribers but who might be interested in the franchise (and will buy DLC, as they would coins/doughnuts/whatever else on iOS).
It won't hurt that a lot of ...
Then you'd be wrong.
It has single player levels. You don't get full access to community levels.
I can't tell whether it was a reveal or that he knew it looked like a reveal.
