You're probably right unfortunately.
I wish they'd post proper metrics rather than just saying "recommended". I just want to know if a 2080ti is enough for 4K 60fps with all settings maxed, including RT. Hopefully DLSS 2.0 makes it possible, otherwise a 3090 might be getting ordered!
She's done far more good for the world than any of her detractors ever will. She has given hundreds of millions to a wide variety of charities and believes that people who are fortunate enough to be extremely wealthy have a responsibility to help those in need.
The only thing she is guilty of is having her own beliefs and opinions in an age that increasingly seeks to deny you the right to have it.
The XBSX and PS5 will probably be obsolete before Micro-LED TV's are affordable for anyone other than millionaires.
Watch this video and maybe rethink your plan: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
That's a vast improvement, still not anything amazing but good enough if the game isn't full price or something.
Not everything has to be super bleeding edge graphics wise.
The big question is why the hell did they think it would be OK to show a build that's not even remotely ready for public scrutiny?
Especially knowing that FC6 and BG&E2 were going to be no-shows for the event which put more pressure on the games they did show to impre...
What's the point in buying a 1080/1440p console going into 2021? if you haven't got a 4K TV yet then it's probably about time you upgraded. More or less every TV is 4K now and you can get one for peanuts if you're happy with a basic set, plus with Black Friday coming just after launch you should be able to get a decent bargin.
Do you want a next-gen experience or not?
I'm sorry, I just don't get this thing.
If you can't afford the XBSX at launch then either use Xbox all access to spread the cost or stick with current gen until the price drops or you've saved enough money.
I don't see where this fits in...
Bugger!
After reading the game informer piece on this I was looking forward to it being a launch game. Ah well, typical console launch shenanigans i guess.
I still think the XBSX is going to be harder to fit into most AV furniture than the PS5 as it's fairly tall whichever way it's oriented.
That's kind of the point though isn't it?
Rather than the XBSX using all of it's power for new things that would be impossible on lesser machines it will just offer "upgraded" visuals by running at higher resolutions/frame rates and add some fancy reflections and lighting.
It's just more of the same but a bit prettier. Granted this is something that always effects cross-gen games but Microsoft has essentially extended the the cross-gen pe...
There's no denying how good of a deal Xbox Game Pass is especially now that EA Play is also included but.......
Microsoft's approach of having it's games be available across a range of systems with huge differences in power is worrying. Even the most Hardcore Xbox fanboy must be able to see that it is a potential nightmare for devs and could end up holding back not just the XBSX but the PS5 and possibly even PC for multi-platform releases.
120fps is awesome, but it will come with a significant cost to the visuals and most will have to upgrade their TV's (and possibly receivers) to use it.
Also I do wonder how much of an advantage the higher frame rate will give to those who can use it, could it be deemed unfair for competitive FPS games in the same way that KB/M is VS controllers often is?
Yes I do remember. It looked about 100x better than Halo Infinite and that was 5 years ago.
The problem with making the jump from 30 to 60fps as a console standard is that it requires twice the power just to maintain the current level of visuals. If you want to see "next-gen" visuals then you need to use that extra power to increase visual fidelity, not frame rate. Hopefully this will change with new engines like Unreal 5 taking a completely different approach to things but in the meantime you have to pick one or the other.
Which is why a lower resolut...
And yet myself and other's get downvoted to hell for suggesting that 30fps isn't going anywhere for either of the next-gen consoles.
@gamer7804
I was trying to make a point that the build being older shouldn't be used as an excuse rather than directly comparing the games.
That said, while I agree it's unfair to compare a more linear 30fps game with a cartoon aesthetic to a more realistic open world one locked at 60 But... 12TF should be enough to make Halo Infinite look at least on par with current gen open world games running on a high end PC.
Far Cry 5 for example, runs at a...
So what if it was an earlier build? Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart was Pre-Alpha and it looked 100 times better in every regard.
Excited for this but I really hope they kept some of the talent from Lionhead, they need to nail the writing and keep the very British sense of humour intact.
It absolutely is not leaving 30fps behind, many games will still be 30. I'll eat my hat if Watch Dogs Legion, Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla are native 4K@60fps with ray tracing on either console. They could well have "performance" modes that run at lower resolution or with RT disabled though...
It's very straight forward if you have a decent PC.
PS5 + Xbox gamepass for PC. Switch as an optional extra.
