I honestly don't know what some people expected. The PS5 has only just released, there's a global pandemic and Sony announced the state of play last minute with no build up whatsoever. What the hell did you think they were going to show gameplay walkthrough's of Ragnarok and Forbidden West?
The only thing I'm disappointed about with PS5 at this point is that more PS4 games haven't had a framerate upgrade.
Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy would be incredible....
You're not alone.
I've put a similar amount of time into the PC version and I'm loving the game as well, and although it undoubtedly has it's fair share of issues it's a long way from being "broken" or "unplayable" on XBSX, PS5 and PC, the PS4 and Xbox One versions however are a complete write off and will likely never be enjoyable experiences.
For me at least the game was very prone to crashing at launch but since the initia...
I has more than it's fair share of issues but It's more than playable now on PS5, XBSX/S and PC. Stop exaggerating, and it's certainly not going to ruin anyone's hardware.
Forget about PS4/Pro and Xbox One though, that's a lost cause.
Compared to what, the imaginary game in your head? they look great for npc's, especially given the variety and number of them on screen at once.
Take a shot every time these guys say fuckin.
They need to make some Astrobot merchandise, a poseable Astro with lcd eyes or physical versions of the little diorama's you can collect in the game. Something, anything!
I seriously doubt that adaptive triggers will ever be supported outside of the PS5 unfortunately.
I think there's a better chance of proper haptic support though given that Valve's own Steam controller also uses Voice Coil's so the Steam Input API should support it in some form.
I'm a Playstation guy through and through but even I have to admit this is a bit strange. I really doubt this has anything to do with either system's performance, but perhaps it points towards the PS5 being easier to develop for. Or it could just simply be the usual Ubisoft lack of optimisation just happens to affect one machine more than the other.
I wouldn't be surprised if the XBSX version get's performance fixes soon. Even if it does though it still shows that ...
Dualsense features could end up making the PS5 version the best choice. I was going to get it for PC but now I'm not so sure... although PC will get mods. Tough choice to make, might get both!
So the XBSX can run some games at native 4K rather than barely indistinguishable upscaled 4K whilst the PS5 has haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, advanced 3D audio, faster load times/streaming performance, VR and better exclusives? Got it.
I would love to see a new Conker game, but I honestly don't think that Rare or Microsoft have got the balls to do it justice in todays PC, snowflake, cancel culture world.
I mean, they pathetically censored the Live and Reloaded remaster despite the original being released on a "family friendly" Nintendo console.
Also I think that most of the people that made the Nintendo Rare games so great left the company either at the point Microsoft acquired the studio o...
Unless they have an answer to DLSS I don't see how AMD has a chance, it gives a 50-60% performance boost which is essentially a generational leap for free.
Probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I dunno about this to be honest. On the one hand it can clearly have some really nice results but it can also make some objects far brighter than they should be, maybe it will end up being like DLSS and get less buggy over time though?
For me It kind of reminds me of all the reshade mods on PC which just make things look over saturated and less atmospheric most of the time, at least to my eyes.
It's a great option to have ...
Where are the little Astrobots? more Sony lies!
What a wonderful future it will be when we don't own any of our games and can have them taken away at a moments notice, when we can't create mods or tweak games to our preference and when an internet outage means everything stops working. But hey, don't worry, we'll be able to play the latest micro-transaction ridden, Battle Royal, looter shooter game on a 6 inch screen while we're taking a dump so.... Hooray! Vive la cloud gaming révolution!
Most affordable but worse in every other way.
I would assume all this stuff will be revealed very soon as Sony has begun distributing PS5's to the usual gaming/tech reviewers, social media influencers and celebrities. Obviously they are all under strict NDA's at the moment but you better believe that a privileged few are playing the PS5 right now.
Xbox all access is ultimately just a credit agreement attached to an Xbox game pass subscription. You're locked into 24 months of gamepass whether you continue to get value from it or not and if you miss a payment it could seriously affect your credit rating. Plus I believe that Microsoft have said that they might lock your account as well.
Game pass on it's own is a good deal but All Access is something that people should seriously think through before committin...
From what I can tell this remaster is a perfect example of why when it comes to graphics doing things more "accurately" is not necessarily the best direction to take.
In fact it actually looks worse than the original in terms of art direction in places.
If you can use tricks to increase performance with almost no visual difference then why not, especially when it can result in a more pleasing and controlled aesthetic.
