Im not sure how I stand on this. The 24-hour checkin made perfect sense when you include the fact that games were going to be installed directly to the hard drive. It was a transparent way of handling game installs without the need for CD-Keys. Something the majority of all PC games do to try and curb piracy.
DRM... is not that big of an issue if you are pushing digital sales and installs to a hard disk. They have to have some way of protecting intellectual property from thef...

Its called future proofing, however I agree with you. Considering the textures they were able to push with 256-512MBs of ram in the PS4 and 360, 12GBs would be overkill. Still, more RAM never hurts. NEVER.
If they were going to increase the amount of RAM Im sure they would compensate for the extra heat output with more cooling.

True, that is always the case with pushing more power from a chip. The increase in noise though should only be if the GPU is under high load. If its idling or you are just watching a video and the fan is loud, you are doing something wrong.

You most certainly can change a consoles specs on the fly if its a simple GPU or CPU overclock. Its ridiculously easy to do.

I agree with almost everything you said. So you get a well said, although I have to say something about the kinect as a spying apparatus as you put it. The reason people were comparing it to other products is simply because all technology has the potential to be maliciously hacked.
Anything with a camera could be used to spy on you if hacked. It has been done with laptops, phones, cams on desktop PCs, pretty much everything. People who have a problem ...
No... I mean the God of War games. QTEs are used for non-boss characters too. The minotaurs in at least the first game, the gorgons, the sirens... you dont have to use the QTEs for some of them but they are definitely there. They are used all over the space in God of War.

Bubs for being a resonable person on an unreasonable website. I can definitely understand what you mean by misinterpreting the article. It does seem to have contradicting statements until you read between the lines.
No way. No doubt they have started creating the infrastructure for PS4s online service, which Im sure will be great, but it will not equal Microsofts Azure network for a good while. I only say this because Microsoft has set up first party server farms all over the world. PS4s online will be great, but without as many server farms as Microsoft has set up, it cant be nearly as efficient with matchmaking localized to provide better connections with others in that area/region.

What's wrong with that? They needed a financial backer and they found one with deep pockets they thought they could work well with. Games are expensive and financial security for a game studio is important.
You should play Alan Wake then. They have a lot of small live action tie-ins in that game as well as a live action 6 episode mini-series called Bright Falls. Remedy has some experience with this, so I wouldnt be too worried.
I have high hopes for this game. Remedy has done some amazing stuff with the first 2 Max Payne games and Alan Wake. Probably my favorite studio next to Valve.
Just wish they wouldnt had let Rockstar make Max Payne 3. It was a decent game, but it was not Max Payne. It didnt "feel" like Max Payne the way Remedy makes there games, especially the environments, so immersive.

You obviously are not a fighting game fan. I can tell you having been a a fan of 2D fighters with a ton of friends who love them as well, Killer Instinct has been a running joke and passion for a long time. Its a classic fighting game we all love. The joke was when if ever a true sequel to KI2 would ever get made. It certainly can carry quite a large weight with the fanbase of fighting games, just clearly not you.
