Realistically, those would be pretty good numbers for a game like this. With good reviews, it could do around 5 million in its lifetime.
Yeah, unless Sony just outright surprises the world with PS5 this year, I see no reason why 2018 won’t be just as good as, if not better than, 2017. An LE Spider Man console, as well as BO4 and RDR2 console bundles would sell like hot cakes. Other possibility is Sony has no interest in cutting the price. Granted, they don’t need to just yet, but a $199 base PS4 would do wonders over the holidays again.

I honestly found this to be more visually appealing than UC4. UC4 is a beautiful game, without a doubt, but the environments and little details in GoW are just awe inspiring.
So you’re saying there’s over 3 million PS4’s just sitting on shelves, worldwide? That’s not how it works kiddo. Sony wouldn’t be shipping this many if the actual sold to consumers number was that far behind. It’s likely 500K difference AT MOST, and even that’s stretching it. 78.5 million is the minimum sold to consumers number as of March 31st.
They announced the GoW console about a month or so before the game’s release. You’re gonna have to wait a bit.

TLoU, Death Stranding, and Spider Man will all push quite a few units. Multiplat titles like RDR2 and BO4 will definitely help out this holiday, especially if Sony can secure an exclusive bundle with at least one of them.

Mechanically, Gears has never been bad. The little tweaks in Gears 4 were nice, but the problem is that the game was boring as hell. SP was more super linear corridor shooting where you fight a half dozen enemies in a small area, walk down a hall, rinse and repeat.
