Not at all. I bought a Pro on launch day, and I’m okay with PS5 coming out whenever it does. Pro has still allowed me to enjoy the amazing PS4 exclusives in their best possible settings, games that make Xbox titles look like something out of the PS2 era.
Sony’s mistake regarding 360 had little to do with it launching first; it was a whole shit salad for PS3 where the pricing was awful, Sony assumed the PS3 would automatically be a top seller without strong third party support, and they didn’t Beta Test the damn cell processor, leaving even their first party studios mostly in the dark. I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure Frontier has yet to make a game that is online-required. This is the same guys who made games like RCT3, Zoo Tycoon (Xbone), and Planet Coaster.

Well, as Lime above pointed out, it’s tracking behind the Wii, DS, 3DS, and GBA in Japan. I can’t really see a reason why it would jump ahead of any of those, except maybe Wii.

I wouldn’t call that person an “idiot”. It’s an established fact that Japan does love portables quite a bit more than other countries. 75% of gaming hardware sales in the country are portable devices. Even Vita still has life in Japan, thanks to the fact it’s a portable.
It’s only behind Wii because Wii was a god damned juggernaught its first few years, but it’s ahead of both 3DS and DS. It obviously won’t stay ahead of DS for long because I don’t think any hardware revision from any company can have the same impact on sales that DS Lite had. Holy crap, was that thing a sales beast. I think Switch will end it’s life out at around 85 million.
I’m sure these games will sell very well and push a lot of hardware sales; I’ll be buying several of them, myself. All I’m saying is that 30 million in a gaming device’s second year is literally impossible. I don’t think that many people would buy it, let alone if Nintendo could even produce that many. Switch will have good growth YoY, and will sell around 17 - 18 million over the next year, putting it closer to 32 or 33 million total. That’s still extremely good

Switch is not going to pass 45 million by the beginning of FY 2019. You’re talking about 30 million units sold, almost 100% YoY growth, in a year. I don’t think any gaming device has ever done that in their peak year, let alone their second year on the market. Switch is only barely tracking ahead of 3DS in aligned sales. Not gonna happen. Fanboys can throw their disagrees, but it’s not even remotely realistic.
I really like what I’m hearing about difficulty hear. Instead of simply giving enemies insane numbers or accuracy, they’re actually making them smarter by changing their move sets and strategies. Kind of like what KZ2 did. Looking forward to giving it a shot and losing my mind in the process lol
