Don’t know yet. Multiplayer has obviously been the focus of CoD for years now, so might as well just ditch the SP all together. With all the other amazing single player games coming down the road, I’d hardly chalk this up as any sort of loss.
GoW3 was an amazing entry, but the old formula was starting to feel a little stale by the time Ascension released. Granted, though, I played through both CoO and GoS after 3, because of the Origins collection, so there was quite a bit of GoW in that time.
I’m really enjoying the new design so far. There may not be a fixed camera anymore, but the combat gameplay still manages to be very similar and almost as fast. Plus, SSM did a great job creating a world that is linear, but still feels massive.
I can’t lie, I am interested in seeing a future Uncharted title with Nathan Drake’s daughter as the main character. Either Chloe or Sam can be her mentor, like Sully was to Nathan.
Ok.
I seriously doubt it has anything to do with money; it’s more so because Sony has common sense and isn’t interested in selling a 100% corporate-controlled GaaS future to people.
Well, that’s retail numbers from VGC. + Digital, it could be around 6 - 7 million. Not sure though, as I don’t remember SSM giving out official numbers.
Nah, screw Jaffe. That dude has long since passed his prime.
That’s my prediction. 11 - 12 million seems likely. That’s insane, considering the highest selling one to date is GoW3, at around 5 million.
Kratos doesn’t need to be Nathan Drake; he just needs to keep being Kratos.
Does it even matter? MS had their chance last E3 to hype it to the skies and get it out within a few months, but they blew that out of their ass big time. I honestly wonder if people are even going to notice this release.
I imagine it’s going to be the same deal in all countries. No reason why this game won’t top all other entries by a good margin
Does anyone actually care anymore?
Kind of a weird article. Sony’s first party has been doing pretty good for almost a decade now. I’m glad to see they’re getting a lot more recognition, but the quality didn’t just now jump up all of the sudden; it’s been there for quite a while.
I have to agree. Ascension was by no means a bad game, but it was the “worst” GoW in the series, and definitely showed that the original formula was starting to show its age. I still enjoyed it though, and the multiplayer had a lot of potential.
Kind of sounds like HellDivers lol
I feel like Alienation was basically Dead Nation 2, but I agree. DN is my favorite twin stick shooter ever, and Alienation was good but didn’t have the same magic that DN did, so I would love to a DN sequel as well.
For the better is a very relative phrase. For many people, this is clearly for the better. I’ve played and finished every GoW to date, have platinumed all but the first, and I’m enjoying this one so far.
I hope you understand your getting disagrees because you clearly missed the point.
@Amstrad lol Really dude? Grow up. Of course they’re driven by money, just like every other industry in existence. That doesn’t mean that they’re not making far better use of their funds though. Sony obviously needs to make to money to be for the players, and they’ve made many great titles that prove that they’re not being slouches. Kind of inronic, when you consider they have so much less money than a particular other company that doesn’t seem to want to do anything besides release $10 GaaS ...
