There is like ten times more talk about why it is a controversy then there is actual controversive talk about it.
You even posted an article about the topic yourself. Why are you trying to make it a conversation when there is none to be had.
The ignorance of your comment is unbelievable. Events like the game awards are meant to honor the developers for their hard work. It doesn't matter wether you liked the game or not. A lot of people have loved it. Banning Kojima is disrespectful and the fact that there are people like you that defend them for doing so saddens me.
My top 10 this year:
10. Ori
9. Until Dawn
8. Life is Strange
7. Fallout 4
6. Batman: AK
5. Uncharted Collection
4. Undertale
3. The Witcher 3
2. Bloodborne
Goty: Metal Gear Solid V
Come on. Clicking a link isn't that hard. You can do it. I believe in you.
On topic: Phew. I'm in germany so hopefully it'll be an entertaining evening.
I agree if he's there he'll probably have something to say. But wether or not he'll be there we don't know. Some of Keighley's "teases" have been misleading in the past and we know he likes to hype people up so I'll rather stay calm and keep my expectations in check.
"So, more than anything, Fallout 4 fails to fulfill so much potential; while it is an excellent game, it could of been so much better... "
Agreed. While it's good in almost everything it does it's not exceptional in anything really (besides the art direction maybe). Bethesda could've done better on almost every aspect of the game. With that said I think the game as a whole is better than the sum of its parts and I'm really enjoying it still.
The PS4 sales are insane but it probably won't come close to the PS2 totals. The PS2 came out in japan first and the reason it kept selling for such a long time was that it kept coming out in new areas even years after the initial release. The PS4 is already availiable in pretty much every relevant region. Besides that a lot of people bought the PS2 just to have a DVD player.
I also think that this gen won't last long enough to even come close to the ps2 sale numbers....
@kraenk12: Have you been in Corvega or at the bridge at Goodneighbour? I have a pretty beast PC and I get huge framerate dips in those areas. The game doesn't seem to be well optimized when playing on higher settings.
"I mean he wanted to make an open world game like Witcher 3, Just Cause, GTA and Fallout but he failed."
I don't think that's what he wanted to create. And I doubt that the stealth gameplay would work as good as it does in crowded worlds like these. I thoroughly enjoyed MGS V and now I'm enjoying Fallout 4 but I wouldn't compare any of the games you listed because they are trying to achieve different things.
Huh? If you are choosing a platform I'd recommend looking at the whole lineup of games not only the games that came out recenty. Also I'd look at the upcoming games as well. There is no clear winner here as both consoles have a good lineup.
I'm 30+ hours in an I haven't encountered many bugs yet. I also heavily disagree with it being ugly. I think the game looks fine. The graphics surely aren't bar setting but the game still looks good imo.
That's the way I do it too. Got my relationship to max with 2 companions working on the 3rd.
Some companions can carry more than others though.
Also get rid of the unused mods when going on a quest. (Just remember to pick them back up when modding weapons).
Don't pick up everything. Some junk is really heavy and only gives you wood and steel for example. Mark all the components that aren't as common and only pick up the junk that is marked with the magnifying glass.
Don't pick up all the weapons and armor. There is no poi...
MGS V, The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne weren't perfect either. Complex games can't be perfect. Does that mean we should only give perfect scores to simple games? I think the review scores stand for the enjoyment the reviewer had playing the game not for the perfection of the game.
The right choice would've been to not release a last gen version at all.
Looking at it. I mostly agree with the reviews I've read - It's a damn good game.
Unkarted.
To be fair that "reskin" looked very appealing to me. Glad they went away from the monotone color scheme. They've also shown off some new stuff like crating so I think it's fair to assume that it'll have more new stuff in it to separate itself from the previous games.
It won't be that easy with MGS V, Witcher 3 and Bloodborne in the discussion. Fallout 4 definately has the potential to steal it away from the competitors but it needs to come out strong to do so.
Another problem for Fallout 4 might be that it's coming out very late in the year so it might not be considered by some of the gamesmedia.
@DarkOcelet: Well you posted an article of the panel that has the word controversy in the headline despite it not even being a major part of the panel drawing attention to a completely irrelevant topic.
The panel in itself had a lot of interessting information and was very entertaining to watch yet most people only commented on the "controversy" part.
