Cool. Can't wait to try it. 1.7.3 wasn't in a playable state but it seems like 1.7.4 might fix most of the problems and improve performance to a playable level.
The whole year won't be like that. It's not possible to keep this density of exclusives over the whole year. If you look at confirmed release dates it'll start slowing down significantly. Some unannounced games/dates will probably sneak in but nothing compared to the madness of the first quater of the year.
Have to agree. I can get behind cgi reveal trailers for story based single player games but I don't see the point in doing it for multiplayer games.Until they show some gameplay my interesst for the game remains low.
@DragonDDark: I assume they want to sell PS Now subscribtions too. Right now PS Now isn't worth it. I also doubt that having new exclusives on there will have a big effect on the sales if you put them on with a 3-6 month delay
As long as it's streaming at 720p and has noticable input lag it's not really a great way to play games anyway. I wonder when it'll be possible for them to improve the streaming quality.
Why not?
Agreed. The closer we get to photorealism the more every single detail that isn't quite right will stick out. A screenshot of a fairly simplistic game scene like a car on a race track or an office can look photorealistic now but a very complex setting like a stormy day in the woods with animals running around won't look photorealistic in motion.
Higher resolutions and framerates will only increase the awareness off the little details pushing photorealism further aw...
The review embargo lifts in 2 hours.
If I were you I'd get the thing with the lips replacement done before buying another singing game.
@1nsomniac: You know someone doesn't know what he is talking about when he judges the color display of a TV in a store. Those are never calibrated and are usually completely oversaturated.
I'd prefer a proper new gen every 5 years or so. These mid generation upgrades are very limited in their potential compared to a new console that's is built from the ground up with a contemporary architecture. Not to mention that the upgraded consoles will probably prolong this generation leaving people that haven't got the upgraded version with the old hardware for a longer period of time. Since every game needs to work on the older hardware it'll hold the stronger hardware b...
...
What? I don't even...
Yeah just to prove your point: Neither of those games would even be in my top 20 of fighting games. I'd argue that Tekken 5 and Soul Calibur 3 aren't even the best games in their respective franchises.
Actually it'll be more of a PRE-BUILD PC AND I PROMISE... actually I don't know that for sure but it seems likely.
September 7th probably.
Even an expert couldn't tell you when we don't know jack about the hardware.
@Rashid: "Disarmament -> Peace -> Chapter 3 -> 3 -> Half Life 3 confirmed"
I bet it's just TPP + GZ.
I doubt that the Windows 10 adoption rate is the real problem here. It's the Windows Store exclusivity and their UWP nonsense. I'm not surprised that Quantum Break is coming to Steam after all. If anything I'm surprised it took them so long. It'll probably sell significantly better on Steam as well just like Rise of the Tomb Raider did. Hopefully they are learning something and release future titles on Steam right away.
A good game is a good game.
The only people that have a reason to complain are PC gamers that bought an Xbox One to play exclusives. I considered buying one for Quantum Break, Scalebound and Sunset Overdrive but I never really believed that MS would keep these titles exclusive to the X1 forever. Now I'm glad that I hesitated.
I'm curious to see how it compares to gaming PCs in both power and price. As someone who already has a powerful PC I'm probably not their target group but it'll be interessting to see nonetheless.
