Don't throw bricks when you live in a glass house.
Like you said it WAS a great game. I agree with that. It was fun at first but sadly it didn't have the lasting appeal I was hoping for. At some point I just stopped coming back to it and never looked back.
This will probably get canceled anyway like 95 percent of all video game movies. I never understood why we need them anyway.
A game like TLOU that already has very memorable characters is even harder to turn into a movie because you won't get the same actors that worked on the game. That's enough to ruin it for me.
Ubisoft already makes fun of playable framerates with the game itself.
Probably due to different data compression/decompression methods.
Because the ultimate goal of gaming is to keep the HDD free. /jk
There doesn't seem to be a "good version" of the game. It runs like crap on all systems.
WTF indeed. Just don't screw up Far Cry 4 Ubisoft!
This game is a mess. Why the hell wouldn't they reduce the npc count to make it playable if they can't optimize it enough to make it run at a locked 30fps on consoles is beyond me.
Is it really more important to have hundreds of npcs than a playable framerate Ubisoft? Are you kidding me?
I'll wait for some PC benchmarks before finally deciding wether 'll buy this game or not but from what I've read the PC version suffers from the same...
Have to agree. Yet most reviews I've read didn't even mention framerate at all. Hopefully DF can clear things up .
Not sure why you're mentioning the PS4 version explicitly when people had performance issues on all platforms. If barely anyone can play this game at a comfortable resolution and framerate maybe Ubisoft should ask themselves if it's really worth having so many npcs on screen that do nothing to make it a better game.
What platform are you playing on? Is the frame rate low all the time or does it jump?
If you're playing on PC could you post your specs and settings you're playing on?
Most reviews I've read barely give information on the performance of the game.
No mention of frame rate?
Guess I'll have to wait for digital foundry analysis.
Framerate barely staying above 30fps and even dropping into the 20s with an i7 2600k and a GTX 780 at 1080p sounds ridiculous.
Sure it's nice to have hundreds of npcs rendered at the same time but I honestly have to question if it's even worth to have so many of them when you can't maintain a comfortable frame-rate on such a strong PC.
I wonder how much you have to turn down the graphics to play this game at 1440p 60 fps if that's even possi...
Not really. Even if 4k TVs are picked up more and more that doesn't make the tech that can run games in 4k and still warrant a quality increase other departments of graphics automatically affordable. 4k TVs have already dropped in price significantly.
I highly doubt that next gen will run games in 4k by the way apart from some exceptions like 2D games and maybe some 3D games with simple graphics. It'll most likely be 1440p for most games.
Any knowledge if the PC version suffers from the same issues?
Just out of curiosity: Why do you have the same game on the PS4 and X1.
You just failed hard.
On topic: I'm going to get the PS4 version for the campaign and online for now cause the PC version isn't coming out at the same time as the PS4/X1 versions. I might get the PC version for mods later though.
It'll be my first Uncharted game as well. TLOU remastered is my favorite game of the year so far so I'm definately hyped for Uncharted 4 however I hope that they'll release an Uncharted collection for PS4 with the first three games before.
I'm playing it for the first time now and having a great time with it. I'm about 20 hours in and I'm starting to understand peoples concerns about the game. Still I think it's really good so far even though it might not be as good as past games of the series.
Meh. I'm not going to boycott a whole publisher just because some of their games have major problems. AC:U has major performance issues on all systems so I'm not buying it. Far Cry 4 runs great so I'm getting it.
I don't see a reason to punish the FC4 devs for the mistakes the AC:U devs have made. And most importantly I don't see a reason to punish myself by not playing potentially one of this years best games.
