Like any game ever was 100% what fans wanted. That's simply impossible due to the fact that fans aren't on the same page when it comes to every single aspect of the game. Even devs aren't. In the end they show us the game that's as close as possible to what they wanted to create and if we're interessted we'll pick it up.
Ironically the Tetris creator didn't earn a penny until 1996.
There we have it.
It's not a big deal then. Just the typical timed exclusive shenanigans that are all over the place nowadays.
"Being berated for being excited for it?"
Well guess what. PC and Playstation gamers were looking foreward to Rise of the Tomb Raider as well. It's not the fault of the Xbox fans that are looking foreward to the game but when you announce a game at E3, building hype across all the gamers that enjoyed the first game just to punch them right in the face by making it exclusive to just one of the platforms two months later you gotta expect a shitstorm.
If I got that right you can play as anything that is alive right? Or have I misunderstood something there?
I thought it looked really interessting to say the least.
How so?
OM*G. This is like the coolest way of a game announcement ever. Holy s**t Kojima the troll. I mean how do you even come up with an idea like that.
Mind = blown.
Yeah. Hopefully we can get some direct feed vids as well.
Omg. I completely missed that trailer. Looks absolutely awesome. And it's nice to see that it isn't as grey all the time.
Can't wait for this.
I agree. I know it's intended but I really don't like cheesy horror movies so I think I'll pass.
That "Wild" game looked promising. Until Dawn looks like a typical horror movie to be honest.
Edit: Well I have to say I'm kinda disappointed. There were quite a lot of small games that looked interessting and some new footage to the games we've already seen but no major new announcements of AAA exclusives.
That Hellblade trailer looked good too but I agree - so far we haven't seen much new stuff.
Can't wait for Far Cry 4.
Looks awesome. Too bad the video is so short. I was hoping for a longer demo.
I'm not signing anything. If they decided to abonden the PC and Playstation fanbase they clearly don't want my money. I sure as hell won't beg for a port.
It may be a good thing for MS to have such a huge game exclusively on the X1 but it's not really a huge deal for Xbox One gamers cause they would've gotten the game anyways.
It just doesn't feel fair if you consider that they've most probably funded the game with the money they got from the Tomb Raider reboot (including PC, PS3 and PS4 sales).
Other than that the conference was fairly boring imo. There weren't any new big game announcement...
Who cares about exclusive dlc. You can't compare that to a whole game especially when it's a sequel.
I agree. MS should start investing in 1st party imo. Look at their "exclusives":
Dead Rising, Ryse, Plants vs. Zombies, Titanfall: 3rd Party (not exclusive or timed exclusive)
That's why I highly doubt that Tomb Raider will stay exclusive forever.
Well after Dead Rising, Plants vs. Zombies and Ryse I really doubt that TR will stay exclusive forever.
It was still a very good game imo. I've slightly preferred Dark Souls 1 though. I don't know how it compares to Demon's Souls as I never got the chance to play it.
