Yeah i was thinking the same thing.
They did seem a bit open for developing for other platforms though, so maybe we`ll see some sort of DS game or something (not Halo). It will be interesting to see what comes out of it.
If it`s indeed the same as the Sony-Imsomniac relation, we won`t see any games on other platform.
A 9 from IGN, and 4 from GameDaily ???
Stuff like this just dosn`t make sense to me. I realize that personal opinion dose play a great role in reviewing, but there should be some criteria for making a review. Especially when the distance between a 9 and 4 is so great, it makes you wonder what makes journalist scores better than gamers scores ? (This problem can be seen in relation to other media too, so i do realize it`s a common problem across different medias)
...
I`m still not sure if i`m going to buy a PS3 this year, but it should help Sony attract more buyers, and it will help me if i do decide to pick one up, so i`m all for it ;)
But i more interested in how the actual game will turn out (and yes, i`m aware that resolution is "part" of the game, but...), which i think will be great by the way.
Even though you are using the same headline as the article, i think you could`ve changed it, so it would relate better to what the story is about, i you get my drift ;)
I`m going to report it or anything, it`s just that the original headline was a bit off i think, but that`s not your fault ;)
Yeah that could be the case. Hope it still will come out in 2007 though ;)
I might just pick up a PSP in 2008 ;)
Then i could finally get to try out Loco Roco too ;)
But i`m glad Epic don`t want to release an unfinished game at the same time too.
It would have helped the PS3 more if it was out this year i think, but we`ll just have to see i guess
And obviously a blow to Sony`s holiday lineup. It`s up to Uncharted and Haze now, but 2008 should be PS3`s coming out year now, that`s for sure. Epic makes great games though, so i`m sure it will be worth the wait, if that`s a consolation.
I wonder how this will effect the 360 version too. If Sony payed for an exclusive time period for UT3, i guess they`ll want to have the exclusive period they payed for, regardless if the PS3 version is delayed until 2008.
The camera seems a bit clumsy at times, but as long as they keep the sixaxis stuff well implemented and optional ;), i see no reason why this shouldn`t be a great title for the PS3. Given that Naughty Dogs is making it too, that dosn`t exactly lower the odds.
Mart, you`re just plain wrong on Uncharted being the only AAA-title for the PS3 this year :
"No Hazeblade, you don't read correctly.
I say Uncharted will be the only EXCLUSIVE AAA for the...
You could just buy these games and Halo 3 ;)
A list like this just shows that there are may great games coming out during this holiday. The problem is just to afford them all.
I think i would have included some other games than the ten here though (UT3 especially), but that`s almost always the case with any list anyway hehe ;)
So take what i`m saying here with that in mind. The graphics didn`t appear to be the best in the business, but they seem alright to me, based on the videos i`ve seen. Great looking effects (the shield and stuff),the lightning was good and the fps seemed very stable too, which is very important for me.
Last i checked though, the gameplay is more important than graphics anyway (not saying good graphics are bad here, but...), something which can be said of Warhawk too, from what ...
Guess the Killzone footage should help move a few more copies of Halo 3 then ;)
Just kidding of course, but it shows how much the mainstream press knows of video games, even though it could be just a mistake hehe. The footage of Killzone wasn`t that long either.
I think more big titles are coming to PS3 than PS2 from Sega.
Virtua Tennis, Virtua Figther 5, Sega Rally, The Club, their Viking game and i think the Alien Game form Gearbox is published by Sega vs Let`s make a Soccer Team ? I know that wasn`t a fair comparison, but i did it to illustrate a point. Where are these great games from Sega for PS2 ? I don`t think the company has that good games at all really, but still.
Last i checked you could still play PS2 games ...
Is because the screen get`s so small. I know, duh. I have a 32inch TV, so two player games is okey, but i can`t have anything higher.
But, playing with friends is serious fun, more fun than playing online, since you can mock the losers much more personally (although this can of course backfire on yourself hehe) ;)
With HD-TV`s being much lighter and more portable than the normal TV (mine`s 80kg, which is a lot more the the usual, and i of course had to buy it jus...
If this is true, the why didn`t Sony make some more rumble about it ? I mean, if they have some form of advanced rumble in Dual Shock 3, why not use it to their advantage over the 360 ? Some sort of "hey we`re the
company with real rumble" kind of announcement.
Still, i hope Shane is right though, a better rumble would maybe get me more excited about it. MGS-games have always made great use of it and having advanced rumble would benefit both MGS4 and (hopefull...
I think i`ve approved up to ten so far hehe ;)
Got to say it seems like an "decent" game from what i`m reading/seeing so far ;)
Agree with that. You could say the same thing for FPS-games too, which has less precision than a mouse and keyboard, but has more games made for the consoles as well. With that said, a lot of PC FPS have worked well on consoles too, but a RTS requires more shortcuts and stuff, and scrolling trough the map vs. the building options.
But you`re right on the gamespeed. I just think RTS-controls on consoles have been pretty poor in the past too(havn`t played C&C 3, so i can`t c...
Hehe, sorry you`re completely right. Don`t know what i was thinking there, it`s from Level 5 of course ;)
That might make me pick up a PS3 this year after all. I was planning on waiting until 2008 because UT3 might slip away, but Uncharted seemed like a blast to me. If Haze turn out good too, i might not have a choice with the price being dropped and all that.
