I havn`t played Street Fighter that much, so i`m probably not as hyped as others for number 4 here, but it was a cool trailer and it would be even cooler if they kept the art style here, which looked great (and yes i know it was CGI, but keep it in the same style at least).
Hope for fans of the game the 3D version, which Street Fighter 4 seemed to be headed based on this trailer, makes the jump to 3D well.
Personally i would have liked to see a Onimusha game out ...
Just don`t let EA do the port, and it will be fine ;)
I honestly think both the PS3 and 360 are so relatively young that they both should have the power to handle a version of Crysis well. Granted it won`t probably look as good as the PC version (although that is a relative comparison as PCs are different from each other, it generally would, but at a price...your soul hahaha... no, just your cash), but it should be possible to pull of a good port if they take their time.
I can`t say i agree with Captain Tuttle (he usually says smart things i think) that it has to reflect that only the PS3 is hard to develop for, although it`s not the easiest machine as we all know. I think it shows the commitment Kojima and Konami is putting into the game to make sure it`s going to be great. A big development team alone dosn`t warrant success, but given Kojima`s history, i think it will turn out good. If the same team is working to MGS: Online that makes sense too.
...
Perhaps not what all people would want, but it`s a lot better than a RE-PSP game for most, as they would want a PS3 game instead (personally i think a RE-game for PSP could be very cool, but...).
A new IP would be fun to see, but it`s hard to get excited of they don`t give us something to see (or at least some details of the game which could lead to excitement, because it just sounds so earth-shakingly good).
Yeah me too, even though that could be said for many game companies that hype up announcements before they`re made.
Not smart if you ask me, since most will end up disappointed by them. But it`s an okey way to build up hope for the company, before it`s crushed. I mean, when was the last time such a announcement lived up to the initial promise ?
People should know by now not to take this kind of statements as confirmation of their fanboy dreams, and start applying...
But i`ll have to agree with Bonsai1214, it`s a demo of a demo. I know GT4 had the same Prologue stuff, but i would wait for the complete game before buying it. A demo for a demo though, seems strange to me. Confusing for the costumer.
Yet, i can understand that some people want to get their hands on at least a part of the full game to give it a try, so it`s fine for those. I still don`t think one should be made to pay for a demo, even though it`s has more depth than the usual o...
Yeah i know, very weird hehe. The horse one gave me some weird associations too ;)
Before comparing which version is the "best".
Although i doubt the difference will be small (if any, as Infinity Ward said they should be identical, but we`ll see) between the two, it really dosn`t matter that much which one you pick up.
I hope they`re the same though, as it can be shown that you can make multiplatform games great, if you make an effort. The PS3 needs better versions of it`s port, regardless if it`s the hardware or the developers fault....
Got to say the Rooney pick and the WWF one were both disturbing, but in a slightly different way (or something that rimes with the last word) ;)
To be disappointed...
These announcements hardly are as earth shaking as they`re supposed to be. Better to be prepared for the worst, but then get something good if you ask me.
Probably because people like that she likes games, and therefor has to like gamers as well... and she`s hot... i guess that helps ;)
Because it would take a while to port it, but with EA, i guess you can never be certain. The chances of it`s sequel appearing on a Play Station platform has definitely increased now, as EA don`t make exclusives. If Bioware owned the right to Mass Effect, EA does now.
What`s bad about EA buying Bioware is that they were going to make a specific PS3 games as well, if my memory serves me correctly.
Under EA they won`t get the time they need to optimize the games fo...
Because what will get me to buy a PS3 is :
- 1) A cheeper price, which is here, although i might wait a while longer to see if it will come down in price once more or if a game convince me i`ll have to have it right now.
- 2) Better games, which is coming, but i`m not sure if i`ll buy one this year with UT3`s release being uncertain. Maybe i`ll wait until MGS4 comes out, but i`ll just have to wait and see. There will be great games this year for the PS3, so it`s ...
Hope the console versions will be almost as great too. This especially means the PS3 version as EA is handling the development on that :(
You really like twisting the facts don`t you ?
Sony said 6 million PS3 shipped by the end of its financial year, which was in March 2007. That`s shipped, not sold.
http://www.gamesindustry.bi...
How do you want to explain the 360 selling over 10 million 360`s by the end of 2006, but didn`t get to ship 12 million 6 months lather ? You can say a lot of Sony, but they`re ...
Wii only ? I`m suprised it didn`t just go multiplatform with 360 and PS3 instead (since they had already started on a PS3 version), but i guess a Wii game don`t cost all that much.
Too bad though, it would have been cooler to see it on a next-gen console, or several, instead of a Wii version. It probably a big in Japan only kind of game (can`t remember hearing about if selling that well in other regions, but correct me if i`m wrong)
Yeah, i was thinking the same thing.
It could seriously backfire though, especially when people (well, me at least) hasn`t even heard of the developer before. Not usually a good sign.
A rumor as the hottest news, shocker.
What`s great about rumors is that everyone can make a prediction about what the big news is. Unfortunately they usually always leads to a letdown, because one always expects more, but get less. Regardless, it`s always fun to speculate (wonder what will happen on october the 12th ?).
Congrats to all winners though.
But why does a game has to be revolutionary in order to be fun ? What games are really revolutionary anyway ? If it`s fun to play isn`t that enough ?
Most sequels are the same as their predecessors, but refined, and hopefully for the better. RE4 is one of the sequels that has changed a lot from the previous games and in a successful manner (the same could be said of HL2 too i guess), but very few games with the number 2,3,4,5 behind the title change all that much.
With this, Ratchet, and UT3 if it makes it this year (and maybe Haze too, if that turns out great), i must say i`m getting very tempted to buy a PS3 this year, with the recent price drop being in affect (still wish it could be a lower price on it, but ohh well)
