I think Sony are getting "back on track" now, but they do have a fair share of catching up to do salewise still.
Not sure if it`s that high, but i do know more people will be wanting a PS3 this year. I`ve decided to pick one up myself before the year is over, because Sony did many things right this year :
- 1. Got the price down, even though i`m still undecided on a 40 or 60gig version yet ;)
- 2. Has Uncharted, Ratchet, and UT3 (and i guess Haze to a lesser degree, we`ll see about that one)
- 3. Showed me loads of upcoming games for 2008 as well, something Microsoft hasn`t do...
Japaneses gamers have different taste in games than me, because i have never liked DW ;)
But each to his own.

With the 60gig i get BC which is great, but i`m not really that interested in either Resistance or Motorstorm, or having two controllers without rumble. I know it has more USB ports and a Memory flash reader, but i`m not sure if i really need 4 USB ports ?
I guess i should go with the 40 gig, but i`m just a bit worried i`m going to regret it afterwards, because of no BC and the USB ports missing. Any...
Good that they try to correct the errors of the last version, but they would have to rebuild a lot of aspects of it to even stand a chance against Wipeout. So, good luck Koei.

Why can`t PC developers at least try to develop for the PS3 before they do something like this. John Carmack was very critical to the PS3, yet now has Rage up and running in a similar state across both the PS3 and the 360.
This sucks for PS3 owners, because the Orange Box is a great package, which they should be able to play the way it was meant to.
Too bad, because the Orange Box is a great package, and deserves to the bought. If the final version is as bad as this (and with so little time left, they can`t do so much), i wouldn`t buy it. UT3 and COD4 over this.
If Criterion had handled the port maybe it could`ve been fine, because thy seem to be the only studio within EA which can make a game with a consistent framerate. I know they havn`t got the bets PC experience, but give them a chance EA, because i can`t see it getti...

Hmm, a bit strange if Halo 3 is causing the breakdown though. I still think it`s more due to the 360 hardware, but i`ll guess it`s an wait and see if more cases will appear. Something tell me they will, fake or otherwise.
This has happened to one guy ? A bit of streching it, isn`t it ? Kind of like the PS3 story with failing PS3 in Belgium some while ago (which was corrected too, i might add).
With that said, the 360 hardware problems are well known before, so a failing 360 wouldn`t be surprising if it was to happen again. Because of Halo 3 ? I think we would need a few more reports than this to say, but if this it was really because of the game, i guess he was just unlucky.
And i do think this will appeal more to the japanese gamers. But if Douchebaggery is right about it being like the card game in FF9, or like FF8`s as i thought was better, it should be a blast to play.

A PC is better, but at a (higher) price and needs to be updated more. PC is a bit of a loose term too, as it stands for personal computer, which means a huge variation in both price and performance, but the "overall PC" will probably be better than consoles anyway, even though they will also cost more. You can do more on a PC too naturally, but if you just want games i`m not sure if PC is the best choice, at least not for myself.
I usually like the console exclusives ...

Agree with that, even though it sucks to wait sometimes too, i hope Haze will be worth it.
Uncharted, Ratchet and UT3 for PS3 this year, although 2008 should have loads of great upcoming games for it, even though some of them too will probably be delayed, as it usually is with big titles hehe ;)

Or try it for myself before buying it. I think they should have concentrated more on the fps than graphical refinements, but as long as it isn`t as bad as 1UP made it sound i guess it could be fine.
Still, try before you buy this version.
