The exclusivity with xbox last time didn't harm sales of the playstation version so Activision would have been quite willing to take Microsoft moneys if they offered it.
The fact is the COD is losing it's appeal so Microsoft didn't make any effort to get the deal. If they did they could have quite easily outbid Sony.

I loved Mass Effect 2 as well but everything you did in ME1 and ME2 was for nothing in end due to Mass Effect 3's horrible Deus Ex type endings

FF7 didn't go to a microsoft console because there was no microsoft console in 1997.
It did go to a microsoft windows though so technically not an exclusive

The emulation is excellent. Some games perform better on the x1 than they did on the 360.
I would much rather emulation than ps now.

I'm massively impressed with the backwards compatibility. Being in the preview program I've tried a few games including Mass Effect
Was expecting games to look downgraded like they do when playing original xbox games on the 360.
But they have done an amazing job.
Mass Effect 1 is the best in the series. Absolutely love the storyline and have replayed it at least 10 times. Personally I hated Mass Effect 3. The ending especially ruined the whole series for me. I ended up wishing that ME3 was never made. Have never been able to replay it and have never bought the DLC for it.
This is the one game i'm really looking forward to this year.
Already pre-ordered and am looking forward to installing PC mods on my xbox one

What you say about Sony having nothing to do with this is absolute nonsense.
There is no way that any video game publisher would alienate a proportion of their customers by making them wait one month for DLC unless they were paid for it.

Well I do want to play 360 games. I have quite a large library of games for it.
Just because I own an Xbox one and PS4 doesn't mean I don't want to play my 360 or ps3 games any more.
Backwards compatibilty means one less console taking up space in my tv stand.
