What?
Just because a game is old doesn't mean you stop liking it.
In E3 ps4 owners were jumping for joy when it was announced Final Fantasy 7 was getting a remaster. That game was from 1997.
I still like playing grand theft auto 3 and vice city, morrowind, system shock 2, half life and deus ex.
These games are old but are still great games even though the graphics are dated.
I'm quite sure that if ps4 was get...
Ps4 doesn't have backwards compatibility. Sony making too much money on remasters when they should be making new games
Give me backwards compatibility over remasters anyday.
Let us play our old games using BC then developers can put their resources into making new games instead of remasters.
It's about time they started counting digital sales in the charts. I tend to buy most of my xbox one games digital because of the 10% discount in the rewards program. But I tend to buy most of my ps4 games on disc.
There is no way that charts are accurate.
Sales for Fifa could actually be up on last year due to digital but we'll never know.
For the same reason there were more sales on ps4 than xbox one.
There are more 360's than ps3's sold in the UK
Too many assumptions on what?
You're the one making assumptions.
I know fallout 3 and NV had controller support on PC.
I'm saying the game is good no matter which platform you prefer.
If you prefer PC then get on PC, if you prefer console then get on console.
As for it being better on PC, that depends on your PC and your own personal preferences.
The problem with the so called PC master race ...
@DragonKnight
BC benefits Xbox one owners whether you owned a 360 or not.
Games with gold titles will be backwards compatible so even xbox one owners who never owned a 360 will be able to play 360 games without having to buy any.
I have to disagree with you there.
It's meant to be played on whatever format you prefer.
I bet fallout 4 on PC has controller support. Meaning it was designed for consoles as well as PC.
Mods are coming to consoles anyway and we will have the awesome mod community on PC to thank for that.
I opted in but I agree people should think twice before opting in.
I know a lot of people joined the preview program just to get backwards compatibility early and don't even bother reporting problems.
If you are not willing to report problems and would be annoyed by any problems you get then it's best to avoid the NXE preview altogether.
Bring back Dinklebot
Except I own the other device but prefer and buy most of my games for the xbox one
Of course owning more than one console makes sense.
How else can I own games like Uncharted, Infamous, Last of Us and Until Dawn as well as Sunset Overdrive, Gears of War, Halo and Fable.
Owning just one console would limit my choice of games especially as I like all the games I listed
You missed Fable Legends.
Also Persona 5 doesn't count. That's not out until next year on ps4.
Although I don't really get the point of this article as Metal Gear is not an exclusive. It's on xbox one as well.
If anything ps4 is helping sales of metal gear as metal gear used to be playstation exclusive which means more of it's fans are playstation owners
Yeah great game. May have appeared to be a bit of a kids game to most putting a lot of people off. I would recommend this game to anyone with an xbox one
Titanfall hasn't been forgotten. It'd still being played. And Sunset is single player primarily and most single player games lose their appeal after being played through once.
First of all the X1 is capable of 1080P so no need for you resolution comment.
Secondly as an owner of both the ps4 and xbox one I dont choose which console to buy a game for on resolution alone.
Other factors are more important to me.
It might be that one console has exclusive content or as in the case of Fallout 4 and Rainbow Six they come bundled with previous 360 games that will run on the x1 through BC.
Totally agree. Just because I own the latest consoles doesnt mean i dont want to play my old games.
The games are not recoded. They run in an emulation sandbox. A virtual xbox 360.
The reason the games are downloaded is because they are wrapped with the emulator.
The xbox one runs the emulator and the emulator runs the game
I still have my 360 and ps3 as well.
If my 360 were to break down I would be able to play my 360 games on my xbox one.
But if my ps3 broke down I would have to either buy a new ps3 or pay to stream games I own on my ps4.
Backwards compatibility is a great feature. Its total nonsense when they say it wont happen because of cell processor. Sony are on a money grab with remasters and PS Now and as ps4 is the number one selling console they are too arrog...
@deadpoolio316.
First of all if don matrick hadn't had been replaced xbox would be dead. Change of leadership is one of the reasons why xbox started to listen to what customers want.
Also I don't buy into the BS that backwards compatibility is impossible on ps4. MS used to say it was impossible as well.
Sony don't want BC because it would be a direct competitor to PS Now as well as effecting sales of remasters. If Sony put their r...
