Did you watch the video review where they talk about gearing towards kids and how it's like a Pixar film and adults will enjoy it as well?
He speaks the truth. The controls in this game are tight, the games pace (as the reviewer said) is great. I don't know how anyone can put it to you better than the Video Review did, but maybe you should just wait for the 9+ reviews to start streaming out from EVERY review site.
But if it does move consoles it will be because there is simply no other game that ANY system has to offer that is like this.
Think old school Mario64, THAT kind of fun with hugely improved graphics.
Mario64 was geared towards kids but all adults played it that were into video games for weeks.
I own both systems and just played the demo. The graphics are great, although cartoony, but you knew that. But IMO it's the funnest game that either system has to offer(so far), parts of the demo are hilarious and something tells me it keeps getting funnier.
As long as you don't mind backward compatibility with PS2 games, just wait and get the PS3/Spiderman 3 bundle for $399. Great offer - Good gaming system, free wifi, plus a bluray player.
I'm 35 and after playing the demo, I can't wait to play and finish this game in one sitting.
I know what you mean though, it reminds me of games that I used to love on the N64/SNES, just has that nostalgic feeling for some reason with some next gen for good measure.
If you have a 50 inch plasma or even LCD, I don't know how you can do without Bluray once you've seen it. I'll never buy another standard DVD.
It's very good. I agree with IGNs rating of 9/10, graphics are stunning, good story and gameplay, this isn't your everyday game... My only complaint, it loads very frequently.
I have the Pioneer 60 inch 1080p Kuro and games on the 360 and PS3 look awsome... PC games don't do as well and since LCDs suck compared to plasmas it IS the definitive gaming experience.

Just wanted to make it clear what we are talking about here.
Please link an example such as this that turned out to be false(where someone reviewed gameplay from both systems and lied about it).
These people are playing a good portion of the game and telling you that the PS3 version is the one to get.
It's not a bias site, so you're either claiming they need glasses or they are outright lying/being paid off.
EDIT: No Proof? When someone reviews a game and says it's better, that's called PROOF.
Go back and read what the guy from Valve wrote. Seems like PC to 360 ports are easy so if something begins on the PC it can be ported to the 360 without a problem (if what he is saying is true).
So when you have LAZY companies like Valve that begin development on the PC, it's not going to change that aspect.
Not that I care that the PS3 version is "Better" but at least it's equal to.
