At World's End for the Wife and Cars for the kid... Nice Deal.
I thought it was already released in Japan and failed there.
Edit: watched the "first 10 minutes" looks cinematic looks great, then the gameplay starts and it doesn't look like it'll be fun to play.
To count I think I have read 5 articles that are anti Blur-ray since Warner went exclusive.
If writing articles helps dry the tears on their cheeks keep writing them, cuz it isn't gonna change a thing.
The 360 couldn't put an internal HD-DVD drive in their unit. Their strategy was to go early and release the 360 to get a jump on the PS3 and win with console and software sales.
Sony decided to wait and put a BD drive in their unit and so far it has paid off, as they won the format war.
Movie format war is over. The game war is next on Sony's list.
At least the files I'm trying to play don't.
I'm trying to play Dual Layer Data format burned VC-1 HD files/movies that are about 8 gig long and it says unsupported.
I can play them on the 360 which is really all I use that system for.
This article will give you some knowledge as I was wondering myself.

But you are correct mostly. A 1080p display will deinterlace a 1080i picture from a 1080i HD-DVD player to 1080p with no picture quality loss (as long as you have a capable deinterlacing 1080p TV).
However, if you have a television (like one of the new Pionee...
This statement I don't believe is true as I can tell the difference between a 1080i and 1080p picture.
"Feed a 1080i signal to a 1080p TV and you will be watching a 1080p picture with no loss of information."
I have these articles to back me up plus my own eyes (again, in certain situations I can tell the difference). I have a PDP-6010FD Plasma that I'm viewing on.

This week Uncharted and Assassin's Creed
Next week Mass Effect
I think the readers here would take what you say with a grain of salt if you actually had something positive to say about the PS3...
Highlights
"This year Sony is ...relying on a game that looks like its for the kids, and a Tomb Raider knockoff to sell its system in 07. "
YOU DIDN'T EVEN PLAY IT YET AND YOU'RE NEGATIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rumor: Sony Asking Developers To Stick With PS3 - wow ... how the mighty have fallen. BEGGING ...
I didn't like KOTOR, but did like Jade and it sounds like it's more like that... I'll pick up this along with Uncharted.
You're sounding a bit unconfident and defensive right now... Don't worry, it's just one game :)
Are you saying your TV will take 720P image and upconvert it to 1080P?
What kind of TV do you have have? I have a Pioneer PDP-6010FD which is currently the best TV you can buy.
You can upconvert SDVDs etc. but no, you cannot take a 720P image to 1080P and even if you could what are you getting out of it?!?! You're taking a 720P image that fills a widescreen TV anyway.
I think many of the people here need to educate themselves.
Both the 360 and the PS3 will run games at their native resolution only. So if the game runs at 720p it runs at 720p unless the game developer converts it to 1080p within the game itself.
When Amazon sells out... Then it'll mean something.
The ISOs are posted in NG, but the ISO loader or whatever workaround hasn't been created yet.
Enjoy the lossless audio that HD-DVD doesn't allow you to enjoy?
HD-DVD only has 30GB.. How sad for it...
Bluray has 50GB YAY!!!
Whoever Warner backs exclusively is going to win the format war, like it or not.
Upscaling standard DVD adds no more information than is already present on the DVD. Upscaling doesn't turn it into High Definition.
I have the feeling that many people here actually haven't compared an upscaled standard DVD to a bluray or HD-DVD (or have never seen a bluray/HD-DVD) on a 50 inch screen or better, if they had, this discussion wouldn't be occuring.
You're paying for a service that is allowed to break down...
They don't offer a refund or anything... If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.. Their stance... JUST WAIT FOR IT TO WORK!!!
