They can't let Sony have a monopoly on a console version of 2nd life. So think of it as a 1 year timed exclusive for the PS3.
But don't kid anyone... That's not saying much...
See ya in two years when Halo 4 comes out.
Not in Japan Buddy...
Edit, the story is about Japan, and how the 360 isn't selling there and it never will. Wake up and read the actual story.
By the time the 360 sells 1 million units in Japan, the xbox 720 will be launching.
So far M$ has done a good job and people have bought their products. They're definitely in the right price range at $279.99, something many families can afford.
Maybe you're right... I guess if a kid had his mind set at playing Halo 3, an average income or maybe even low income family can pick this up and satisfy the brat.
I'd tell them to buy a Wii...
Who the hell wants to play Uno. I know they're targeting casual gamers here, but the Wii already owns that market.
The Halo version...
And yes, I DO prefer the PS3 to the Xbox, but I'm just giving my honest opinion. If I bought that product and they started to release games that required a HD, I would be VERY upset.
Coming from someone who bought an xbox, then a $99 wireless adaptor, then another $50 Video adapter just so I could connect HDMI to my TV and then an optical connection going to my receiver that I didn't upgrade yet to HDMI yet.
There were rumors that games were going to start coming out requiring a HD...
I guess they're expecting these to compete with the Wii and then when the dust settles they'll bring out their games requiring a HD and tell the consumer to "Pay up and buy a HD dummy, you should've bought a Wii Bia".
2007 will see the release of some good games:
Ratchet and Clank
Uncharted
COD4, which will be better than the 360 version.
However, next year is where the PS3 will shine with the biggest franchises and the 360 doesn't have an exclusive comparable franchise to:
MGS4, FF13, and GT5.
"what movie uses more than 15gb?"
Are you seriously asking this question or just being a moron?
King Kong on HD-DVD used 30GB and couldn't fit something called lossless audio on the disk.
And Bluray regularly uses close to 50GB by putting lossless audio on their disks.
In the US Bluray disks are outselling HD-DVD disks 2:1, with or without lame ass 300.
In Europe it's 4:1.
And in all important Japan it's 9:1.
In fact, there isn't even a country out there where HD-DVDs outsell Bluray DVDs. Flush your HD-DVDs and lame ass addon down the toilet because that's about what it's worth.
"THis story needs to be reported, because it has no source at all but an old trailer."
Your last piece of news was just a trailer for Lost Odyessey, yeah some real news there.
"They'll make more money on the 360 with UT3 then the PS3."
Hmm... Then why aren't they releasing it on the 360 first then?!?! huh genius?
Relax buddy... It's not like it was ground breaking news anyway...
You can't deny that Zelda, Metroid, and Resident Evil are great games, and they still have Mario Galaxy coming.
The hardware is limited though, not having HD hurts...
That being said, for the 360, there aren't that many games I like, Bioshock, Gears of War, Orange Box and of course Halo. But those games look a helluva lot better than Wii games.
For the PS3 they just started getting games out there.
OK, you're right I haven't played it yet.
But I have played Forza and PGR4 and I KNOW it's not as bad as those two!
I might be assuming a bit, but I know I'm right.
Right now the 360 has no answer to the upcoming Final Fantasy which will probably sell a lot of systems in Japan, even if it's crap.
The 360 needs an HD drive though, 4 disks is unacceptable.
360 RPG fans better be buying these up, Microsoft is trying to install a 360 base in Japan and if the 360 continues to do poorly there (which I'm sure it will), these games will no longer be produced unless they do well in the US.
The original poster listed a small amount of games and called them Killer Apps(You say AAA in your post, but that was never mentioned, as in a figment of your own imagination). I simply pointed out that the 360 games he listed weren't in the same league as some of the PS3 games he listed.
You could've saved some space and linked the 360 release list because that's basically what you did. Oh and nice on the Halo game(s) listing, I forgot 4 and 5 were due out soon.
The 360 has Mass Effect and that's it. If you're going to include Too Human and Fable 2, include Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted for the PS3.
Quite simply the biggest franchises left are:
GTA4, the biggest without a doubt. Then,
FF13, MGS4, and GT5
Then, Mass Effect.
Like it or not, at most Lost Odyessey is a warm up to Final Fantasy 13.
"the console similarities end when it comes to textures, lighting and resolutions, because those three areas make the PlayStation 3 version definitely excel over the Xbox 360 SKU."
dailygamer.net said the PS3 version was better.
