Lol @ anti PS3 article that comes from Apple fan boys. Sony and Apple fans are usually united against the common MS enemy.
hehe
I'd see that whale and flower pot falling if the desert was underneath the Restaurant at the end of the Universe you Zaphod lover.
Besides, a sand texture underlying the level geometry is not that odd as long as level design is concerned.
bah, most games see shelves past mid september, and most of these aren't announced yet.
Think of the top developers, what games will they have ready by nov 09?
We don't know yet, notice that, besides the last 4 games on the list, all others are Q1 and Q2 with 80% being Q1.
"Inferior PS3 versions of games like The Orange Box and F.E.A.R"
This point, while true, is not entirely valid because both games were
A) developed first on PC (not 360 ports)
B) both ported by a different studio than the one developing the main PC game (though FEAR was ported to 360 and PS3 by the same people).
Good news: the next project by ValvE should be developped for PC, 360 AND PS3 alll 'In House'.
Is that 11 500 000 subscriptions sold to date or 11 500 000 currently active accounts?
I'd go for subs sold to date, any way you look at it, it looks better to use the highest number available, and it can only be: total sold to date.
"Unfortunately the core market places a huge emphasis on graphical prowess"
I guess this is the reason why the Wii rapes both M$ and Son¥ in terms of sales.
It was also due to be amazingly superior in graphics, something that we are still waiting for 2 years later. I mean, the only game with truly amazing graphics is MGS4, and it's an exclusive so we can't even compare. All the shared games look more or less the same.
I feel let down by Sony, will the ps3 ever live up to the hype?
I know 5 people who own a PS3, 2 of which bought a single game each and use the console mainly to watch BD movies. Yep they both bought it wh...
Bah, there's 3 games that are not yet released. Yes they are all BIG titles but still.... what if one of them proves unworthy?
Besides, ABBA singstar has more lasting appeal. kidding.
I would take Gran Turismo over a shooter though, I have a PC, shooters are fun on a PC.
bah, Apple is not more dangerous than the other big evil American company: M$.
Which means, not quite.
It is time... but where is the said marketing?
I can see myself in these pies. And always in the largest pie piece. I am about to jump up to the "dx10 part on xp" layer of the cake though.
"Square Enix developer Hiroshi Takai ... stating that it's "a lot easier" to work with than the PS3."
Another captain obvious...
Son¥'s Securom, proprietary formats, proprietary connectors and overpriced products pretty much paved the way for overpriced Barbie clothes.
Call that an avatar if you feel better about playing with dolls but it still is a Barbie. And Nintendo's own is free to dress paint in colors.
"Tell yourself the PS3 has superior graphics if it makes you feel better"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA That`s xbox fanbois that must be laughing.
"but a $400 console with a mediocre game library simply cannot compete against an Xbox 360 priced at $200 in this economy."
And the PS3 fanboïs now all go: "you are wrong, just because you have several advanced degrees in economics, it doesn`t mean you know a thing about video games market."...
Well. if by next gen you mean games that are actually rendered in 1080p (instead of upscales from 720p as we see now on PS3 and X360) then yes, Nintendo should go for that kind of next gen.
If they are to continue selling games that are mere excuses for motion sensing rather than offering actual content and/or replay value then I don't care.
"Yeah, 120hz makes a big difference. Though, I've had friends over to watch regular BD movies and often their comments will something like "why does it look like the movie was filmed on a handy cam?".
Sometimes the added frames make it look a little...strange?
Also, the 120hz technology isn't quite perfect yet, as you can notice some artifacts when there is fast action sequences."
LOL LOL
hahahaha 120 hz is the number of times the ima...
You got to love Sony for PS3 DRM, SecuROM, Blu ray AACS and all their lovely, not-infuriating, copy protection schemes.
actually, there is less adds per square inch that what we had before.
"Turn on the Xbox and it can take you ten minutes to find something you are looking for."
I bet this guy pees in his boots everytime he's looking for the bathroom.
Mentally challenged?
Windows should be made available for free, they can make money with extras and office.
