While I agree that paying for something twice may be irritating to most hard-working men around, having and upgraded version of the product somehow justifies the price tag.
A team still had to be put together to "remaster" the whole thang.

What would be nice though is Sony offering a trade-in: Bring your GoW and Gow2 PS2 versions and pay only less$ for GoW collection.
Considering you already paid for the dev costs, being offered to trade in would ...

I have a hard time believing people care enough on that debate to write 4 paragraphs to make a point.

And I still can't believe it's not butter.

At MrT

check out at maximumpc.com they have a lot of tutorials including how to build your rig and infos on what parts should or shouldn't go with together.
They also have some reviews for parts (cases, PSUs, chips, graphic cards...)

Bubble for the guy who said:
"but the truth really is that NG has not tried to do this on the 360... How can they comment saying its not possible?"

My thoughts exactly. He can assume the game could not have been made the exact same way (with a HD install and fitting on a single disc) but as for the rest... this is speculations. We all know they did not try.

Be a fanboy of one console or the other, you will have to admit that it's a great week for gaming :)

No console ships above 299$ ... well not including... shipping price :)

This truly is a great moment in gaming.
The Wii seems ridiculously overpriced with both HD competitors having a 120G Hard Drive, working online networks and games that are actually fun to play for more than 42 minutes.

I can finally buy a PS3 to hold my 360's green hand :)

I guess this means I'll be buying a PS3 before long

"Gaming is moving towards pay to play model."

Laughing My AO... this is so 1970s.
Pay to play or arcades were the way to go before the 2600 found its way into homes. Then came the NES and most arcades shut down.

I want to pay 10$ for a downloadable game and play 3 lives or 3000 lives if I want.

Lol... Microsoft paying IGN? yeah right.

For what? So Chobot licks a Zune?

That list seems relevant to me. And yes Bioware stole the Best console AND PC games.

Edmonton won several Stanley cups when Wayne Grtzky played up there, now they deserve E3 love.

I have to agree with both.
Forza, Uncharted and Mass Effect all stand out above the rest.

"Currently HDMI (versions 1.2a, 1.3) is the only commonly available connection that can deliver 1080p resolution from a video source to a television."

No way.... VGA has been around since the 80s (or before...? ) and is much more common. It supports 1920 x 1080, or 1080p (vga has always been progressive) since WUXGA was introduced back in the Win 95 days. Most HDTVs have a vga port (often called PC).
Besides that, Component connectors can also move 1080p video.

All Xbox SKUs have an HDMI 1.2a interface since at least early 2008.
All can output 1080p either on HDMI, Component or VGA cable.
Previous models (without HDMI) can still output 1080p either on a component or VGA cable - VGA has never been interlaced by the way.

Tip: buy an Arcade 360 and a 149$ 120GB HDD and voila! you got your 348$ XBOX Elite system in white. Minus an HDMI cable but with a bonus memory unit.

On a PS3 you can output to 1080p through its ...

the biggest hits from MS are likely the Twitter/Facebook/Last FM/1080p instant videos and, of course, Natal. That's what will bring casual players in. the hardcore gamers already have both consoles and will buy games they like on both.

The win is, as sad as it may seem, on the casual, entertainment side of things. Nintendo proved that to be right for the past years.

Well, if Canadian and American high speed internet providers could keep up with what's offered in Europe and Asia, this would be no issue at all. An 80Mbps connection is under 30$ in a lot of countries

bah, "most countries" - that's at least 30 - have faster download speed than anywhere North America (well save Long Island).

The people that will have trouble with that are subscribers of cable/phone companies here with stupid bandwidth caps. Not Asians or Europeans.

Hopefully some new title might be bought and preloaded to be unlocked on the tick of midnight the day of release.

I like it. Will save petrol (actual gasoline and plastic) from being used and will make me a fatter person.

Let's just hope they let you back them up on a device of your choice... bandwidth is expensive in North America... Notice I say back-up, not run from which is not likely.

I can`t wait for ME2

the Bible Game was on MS' and Sony's consoles but not on Nintendo.... now that is hardcore. Hardcore Christian.... Jesus rocks

Nah... the Wii brought soothing sour cream on top of the spicy hot gaming plate.

Those that don't have the stomach for some games can still enjoy a virtual environment by owning a Wii console.

It did not kill hardcore gaming. It even made it's core seem even harder.

I never liked JRPGs... hard for me to tell when they "started to be bad".

I can understand why some people like them, I just cannot.
