The old Disney movies like Pinocchio were pretty dark. Hell, even the Hunchback of Notre Dame had some messed up scenes.

Yes and No. Sony Owns the Demon's Souls IP but that didn't stop From from making Dark Souls which is essentially the exact same game and aesthetic.
So a last gen port? Not much to be excited about. If I was going to play it I would do so on my PS5.
It does look very much like more of the same but until we play it there is no way to know for sure. Hopefully it has a more fleshed out story at least.

It was my favorite part of Borderlands but re-releasing it on its own is probably going to confuse people into thinking this is the new game they announced recently.
