You lost interest in Cyberpunk b/c it was delayed by a few months?? Wow. If you're that fickle, I'd hate to see how you feel when someone you're with tells you plans have changed. And FF7 - really? It was delayed by a month... that's a month, not a year. I think you'll be OK. There are more games available to play today than there ever has been during the entire history of the gaming industry. I'm sure there's SOMETHING that you haven't played and have been wan...
@Rebel_Scum - Wow, that's what you took from what I said? It's not just F76. They ruined the Fallout series of games and have never produced a capable one with the exception of Fallout 3 and Fallout: NV (which wasn't developed by them but Obsidian). F4 was watered down trash, imo. This isn't just about one single game though. It's about a developer which maintains a pattern of releasing half-baked, sub-par games with woefully dated tech which the modding community then pat...
Agreed. Bethesda has taken pleasure in bludgeoning its fanbase with greed, micro-transactions, and half-baked titles for years as if they've been playing a long game of whack-a-mole. The only difference here in reality is that the moles are fed up and either leaving in droves or retaliating like never before. No matter what Bethesda says, they are in dire circumstances and have nearly expended any/all patience they seemed to have left following the consistent series of greed-induced decis...
I guess I will never understand why people still care about brand loyalty and why fanboyism is still a rampant thing when it comes to the argument between who is better - Sony, MS, or Nintendo. Don't we live in an era where most people can eventually afford to have and enjoy at least two or more consoles at some point? Move on already. Just enjoy the games and STFU.
1st Bioshock is a masterpiece. 2nd a very competent sequel. Infinite... an absolute disaster of a game. I don't think it's any secret that most of the game's shortcomings and failures were attributed to Ken Levine's mismanagement and his unchecked ego, which ultimately led to multiple iterations during development and in turn caused an unraveling of the project and final product. And even further justification as to why it was crucial to introduce a turn toward the familiar wi...
Who gives a s***. Nobody cares what Valve does with the HL series. To the fans, Valve has betrayed them by consciously silencing any progress during the last 15 years.
That's b/c texture quality, lighting and graphical effects/fidelity have all been lowered to optimize it for console hardware to ensure it runs at a constant 30fps. Comparing purely by framerates means absolutely nothing. Also, good luck running all the awesome mods on your console! lol
This is just lazy optimization on the part of Rockstar... Sure, the game looks great, but it doesn't even support ray tracing and if a $1200 top-of-the-line card can't run this at 4k 60 fps without ray tracing, something is surely wrong. For most people this won't matter, but for those that have a 2080 Ti card, it's the principle.
I will probably be buying the PS5 at some point... but I just have to ask what I think is a pretty obvious question: how is this hardware they're packing into the PS5 any different than what's currently out there or in-development for the PC market and why is it all of a sudden so special b/c it relates to the PS5?? This headline sounds like a marketing ploy to pump up the hype and nothing more. What I'm trying to say is, what makes Sony's PS5 hardware so special that it will ...
@shaggy2303 You really do owe it yourself to try it out again. Maybe try with a higher end VR headset and I'm convinced it will change your mind. I was honestly thinking exactly as you do and had little interest in entertaining VR I'd say mostly b/c of the stigma that it gained when it first became a thing - IE. Short, under-developed, casual experiences which were more about proving the technology than providing an actual game worth playing and remembering. That is until I tried out ...
Honestly, I've beaten all the Dark Souls games, but I've still found Demon's Souls to be the most punishing at points and yet it remains one of my all-time favorites. It's also why I own 3 copies of the game (Deluxe Edition (unopened), Greatest Hits Limited Edition (unopened), and standard copy which I used to play the game). The online component set a new precedent and has spawned countless mimics (pun intended) since. In all seriousness though, a remake (not just a remaster)...
You forgot "snake-oil salesman" in your description. This guy would peddle a dead cat to a 5-year old if it meant he could make a buck... "Hey kid, I've got a beautiful Tabby cat here and it's still got 7 lives left! Ignore the guts hanging out of its mouth, it's just actin' cute and playin' dead! Even better - you can spray paint it any color you like! I'm telling you, kid, the options are endless!!"
Agreed. To take things a step further, I'm still perplexed as to why with the games medium (such as a collector's edition set) we aren't given a separate digital code/copy of the game... If you purchase a Blu-Ray movie, you get a digital copy of the film in addition to the physical disc, and yet, here we are - 2019 - last I checked, and game publishers choose to ignore this little trend. I'm primarily talking about Collector's or Limited Edition version of games here. But ...
That's sort of the idea though. A lot of publishers either choose exclusivity or never bring their games to the PC market, and it's truly a shame. I guess I've just never understood the artificial barrier publishers/developers fabricate between console and PC. Somehow it always comes back to the tired argument/theory which supports piracy is much greater on the PC platform and so it justifies their decision to ignore the platform altogether, but if you ask me it's a bogus one....
No. They both deserve their rightful place in the burning trash can of our minds.
Tapani, I think that's right! Therein lies the irony of Miles' character. It's that he's so far disconnected from himself that he doesn't even realize his own moments of brilliance and instead passes them off as someone else's. Such a damn good movie!
Many, including me, have said the same about Bethesda's nuclear disaster of a game, Fallout 76. Yet somehow there is still a fan-base there?? It's confounding.
Hah. That's the type of response I love. Give up on your passion and hobby because many others aren't doing it justice. If you're a sports fan, I'd love to see how you handle someone telling you, "so why don't you quit watching it then. Have fun!@#!" the next time you complain about your team losing. See how you take that.
A quote from the movie Sideways immediately comes to mind when I think of EA's Anthem, "... [It's] a thumbprint on the window of a skyscraper. [It's] a smudge of excrement on a tissue surging out to sea with a million tons of raw sewage." And it is a game that history will not treat kindly, nor EA.
Seriously, can't gaming publishers and developers actually just create games anymore that aren't just a hidden slot machine for our time and our mon...
A little competition never hurt anyone... except until it undercuts profits. I don't believe that it's Epic Games' approach which has caused the consternation in the PC gaming community, but it definitely throws a wrench in the way in which PC gaming has generally worked for decades... which is what I believe truly annoys people. Think about it - Exclusivity is mostly an accepted thing in the console gaming market... it's NOT a thing in the PC market mainly b/c PCs have always...
