MM is not a perfect game by any means as it was held back by lots of repetitious, standard open-world copy and paste missions, but the devs SO perfectly captured the world, atmosphere, lore and brutality. It also just so happens to boast one of THE best photo modes out there and some of the most impressive explosions I've ever seen in a game to date. The car combat is of course another impressive standout, both vicious and fun. MM is a game which I have revisited multiple times since its ...
Who cares about Fortnite... How about a new Mad Max game?!
The whole Lisa Trevor side-story was an incredible addition and really fleshed out more of the lore. It could have easily felt tacked on to artificially extend the length of the game, but it felt 'right' like it should have been in there from the beginning. I'm hoping they include that in the Re-remake.
This is why exclusivity is not pro-consumer. It's greedy, corporate BS through and through. So many examples where exclusivity has backfired. This is just one of the most significant recent examples and unfortunately it'll affect future adaptations which otherwise could have been. F*** Epic... no matter how many free games they give away, I still can't stand their storefront because #1. their UI is trash and #2. what they're doing is bad for business and unsustainable all arou...
Ugh... FFF********k F****nite. SO tired of hearing about it and no surprise Fallout would be featured. Bethesda can't wait to sell out the franchise for a buck, why would this be any different?
The guy is no different than any other corporate schill making millions on the backs of the true talent, the game devs. Today is the day I walk away from Xbox as a brand and I won't be back. They have disgraced themselves and they've cast a pall over the industry. #boycottxbox #boycottMS
Seriously... F*** this industry. MS can go eat s*** today. I'm disgusted and I'm done. Is this really the industry we all want to prop up? Bc I certainly can't stand the taste and smell of s*** and yet if this is what we choose to allow we all better get used to the smell and taste as companies just like MS buy up beloved studios, consolidate their monopoly and eliminate competitive buying power. So I say, kick MS where it really hurts. Dump your Xbox subscriptions en mass and let...
How over the top? Literal much? It's called a turn of phrase. I think it perfectly summarizes the situation based on the reasons I've given.
Also, we're not talking about MS, EA, Ubi, Activision/Blizzard, and others, we're specifically speaking about the current situation unfolding with AH and Sony's ill-considered decision making. But if you want to go there, sure I would totally agree with you - that is, those other corpos are all in it to make money a...
Not sure why there are all these Sony defenders out there down-voting mine and others' comments which are shining a light on Sony's actions. At this point, Sony's silence is deafening. Believe it or choose not to, but what I and others in this thread are saying about Sony is fact. They are 100% a corporate entity with one goal in mind - make $$$ and take $$$ - just as every other corpo entity out there. If a company isn't doing something you like, your only options are to spea...
It may be a tad dramatic, but Sony are the ones bringing the drama to this game w/ the PSN account requirement. Besides that, the two other examples I gave DO matter and showcase my point. Sony is not always a friend to its fans or its devs. And for those who try to bring the argument that they're running a business and they're beholden to their shareholders, I also call BS there - if that's the case, where are the Bloodborne remakes/remasters and/or sequels? They must know they w...
Disagree. Arrowhead knew full well what type of contractual obligations they were signing onto when they penned the deal with Sony as their publishing partner. They share 50% of the blame in this situation and based on past situations with other devs trapped in the same/similar legal obligations to Sony, there is likely very little/next to nothing they can do to change this. They should have communicated this information upfront to PC players and they dropped the ball so they need to own the ...
My opinion likely won't be a popular one with all the Sony fanboys, but it's the truth.
Firstly, 50% of the fault is with Arrowhead here and they must own that. This is the price you pay when you sign a deal with Sony as your partner. I've said it before and I'll say it again - signing a deal with Sony is like signing a deal with the devil. I'm sure the funding and exposure is excellent, but it's the contractual stuff that creates strife for the devs. Just loo...
Give it to CD Projekt RED. Or, why doesn't MS stop wasting time and leverage their acquisitions in Obsidian and Brian Fargo's InXile Entertainment. Tim Cain, Fallout creator, is consulting on The Outer Worlds 2 w/ Obsidian. Bring him back and you've got a winning recipe. And then maybe, just maybe we can get a Fallout game NOT made in the horridly dated Creation Engine.
Playing through it right now on PC for the first time and I'm having a blast. Love the zombie hordes, bike mechanics/dynamics feel good, gunplay is satisfying and feels realistic (enemies don't have perfect aim), and the story beats have got me intrigued for what's in-store. I'm about 10 or so hours in.
This argument (PC vs Consoles) is so tired already. Just invest in whatever fits your fancy, play what you like and enjoy your time. I have been a lifelong console and PC gamer. I mainly play on my PC and I invest in a mid-to-high-end GPU upgrade every 3-4 years to stay current. If that's not your thing, then it's OK... Not sure why so many people get so offended by other's opinions and then feel they have to defend Sony or whoever. Besides, Sony is bringing more of its 1st party ...
One can only hope at this point Embracer will need to generate an influx of cash flow, and what better way to do so than to sell off some of its IPs... namely Deus Ex, to a competent and talented studio capable of delivering a game noteworthy of the name in future. And thinking about it further, I don't know why Embracer would sit on the IP vs sell it if it means staying in business or not.
Even more evidence for why Sony is overdue to pull their head out of their a** and start bringing more titles to PC.
One of sound mind can still tell the difference between a turd and a Twinkie, but the sniveling condescension doesn't make either taste any better.
I believe if you've released a game in a partial state, it should not be incumbent upon your fanbase to pay for said misses in initial development. Those people have already paid for a final product they expect to receive. If the dev team cannot complete the product, that should not be laid upon the shoulders of paying customers, but alas, it is indeed. Then, to have the dev team turn around and complain about the negative treatment they've received for an undeveloped product is absol...
Honestly, Kojima would do the game justice, but given his studio's current workload, it's a bit far flung. I could much rather see Bend Studios (Days Gone dev) doing a Mad Max follow-up. I'm playing through DG right now for the first time and I see lots of similarities between the games to where imo Bend could develop an impressive MM sequel.
