CONTROLLER LAG!?!?!?! that is a bigger deal to me than the credit card requirement. controller lag is a fundamental flaw in the usability of the unit and a deal breaker.

gamestop will take non working consoles, I don't know how much they will give you for it, but I guess it is better than nothing.
yeah, all my accounts have dried up so I'm not working right now, I traded in one of my 2 PS3's with a bunch of accessories, (move controllers, chargers, some games) took just about 240.00 off the price off the price of the PS4.
It's a shame though, I traded in a fatty 40gig with an upgraded seagate 320gig HD, adult owned, never dusty, the thing looked as good as it did when I bought it, I would clean it with a microfiber towel and lcd screen cleaner.

@loulou: I hate to say it but, Sony TV's and HT electronics are overpriced for what you get. The koreans have got them on the run with Samsung and LG having higher customer satisfaction, quality and cheaper prices.
The only thing that even interests me from Sony is the Playstation brand.
these days you really need to do your research before you buy anything, you cannot just "go" with a brand that is well known anymore.

I remember standing in front of gamestop (it might have been EB at the time) on a cold november night around 11:00 hanging out talking and waiting till 12:00 to pick up my launch XB360.
Funny thing, not one person there was under 35, it was just a bunch of men and I think one guy was there with his wife.

I just sold one of my PS3's and a bunch of stuff that I never used (move controllers, extra camera, headset move charger etc.) and put the money down on a PS4 and Knack, BUT, I still have a PS3 slim and intend to keep that along side the PS4 when I get it. There are plenty of games that I haven't even played this generation that I will now be able to get dirt cheap now. good stuff.
