It sounds like a similar problem that Honda and Acura cars had from the 90's if the car sat for a while the steering wheel and shift selector would get gooey, I think it is from a build up of dead skin and natural amino acids and oils from the fingers causing it. if you clean your controllers every once in a while with a damp, lint free cloth and wash your hands it doesn't happen...never had a problem with mine.

I have to agree with creatchee, Even though I have no love for MS or the Xbone I think it would be a mistake to have a model without kinect bundled with it. I think it was a mistake for Sony not to have the PS eye bundled with the PS4 as well, I think that the fracturing of the market will damage the camera's (for both consoles) adoption and developers expectation of being able to use the device with their games. I think that MS needs to hire industry leaders without the handicap of monopolistic market domination. They need to get a CEO from a company that has to fight the competition (legally) to stay on top.
