Define way better? One is free to play the other is not. To me, that is hard to determine which one is more popular.
I was thinking the same, also didn't the developers/community talked about a smaller map for more action a while ago? The media uses these titles to get people talking and against one another which I am against.
I know why, I don't like base building games, I don't lik ebase building concept in my shooters. Of course, that is just me and nothing is wrong with Fortnite. I just don't like how firefights are jumping contest. I don't like late in the game, it is pretty much who has the tallest fort. I don't like 25+ rockets for the rocket launcher. PUBGs is more grounded witch I usually like more when it comes to the latter.
You make it sound that no other game that was multiplayer only came out with early reviews. Regardless of that, this game is going to be really fun.
With confidence, you send copies before the release date to tons of websites and etc. to review the game and those good reviews will make even more people want your game. Once again, I have no idea how this particular game works reguarding how often you see other pirates that will attack you. This game is going to be very fun regardless!
For some reason you guys think I am comparing those games which I wasn't. I was going to put Goldeneye but I just put Mario 64. I still play Mario 64 on my 64.

BF 1 was a good step in the right direction with that. BF 1 felt more grounded and when you got hit, you kind of knew what kind of weapon and what class that person has which is a pretty important thing.
Witcher 3, I couldn't play The Witcher 3 solely because of the combat falls flat when it comes to other games in the genre. I came from Bloodborne and tried out Witcher 3 right after and I laughed at the combat. It just wasn't for me. Every other aspect of the game is hands down amazing though.
I was going to say, BB is one of my top 5 games of all time maybe even in the top 3. No matter how much I love Mario 64, Bloodborne beats Mario 64 in every department. I think nostalgia gets to a lot of people.
I remember during GOW 3 (I think) they talked about getting more details into the game. I remember thinking, why don't you make the camera closer instead of doing a close up every time you want to show something cool.
The best part about the game is when they said you can explore and you will find yourself an optional boss to fight or a dungeon to explore.
But every single of those games have plenty of game play videos.
The combat is the only thing that is lacking but once again sailing with your friends on a pirate ship looking for treasure seems very fun. I am also curious to see how often human players will be able to intercept you and your treasure. I would get annoyed if it happens every single time because that won't be fun.

First of all don't make a PvP only game with pay to win mechanics. I was excited for the game until I saw how they were doing it, you don't start with all the characters, you need to literally level up or pay for them. Imagine if Overwatch was like that? He also half assed the PS3 version of Twisted Metal and also made most car unlockable for the online portion of the game. I do like him in general and loved his games before, it just seems he is out of touch now.
The sad part is, I watched one of the game play trailers and it looks like a good time with friends. I want no part of this though!
The people who are buying these games are NOT on these sites and forums. We have to remember we are in the minority when it comes this stuff.

You do know everything said has nothing to do with Fortnite and why it is popular. You do have to remember, PUBGs is also a casual game as well. That is why these games are so popular because casuals can hop on play a few games and leave.
