To my knowledge you do not save HDD space with the BluRay version, as it has to be installed on disk, too. It is supposed to be the same version as the download one.
Actually no, as long as your account stays on your friends PS3 he can play with his own account. Only when the "owner" account is deleted from the PS3 the game stops working. Also you can only download the title 5 times. So in the unlikely event of your PS3 breaking beyond repair you will need at least one download left ;) Same goes if you upgrade your HDD.
Only problem in your argument is that this so called "contract" is existing only in the rather strange world called "Patchers reality". Even though he presents it like a childish retard, he got a point. The original xBox had a HDD in every SKU (as there only was one :p) and it was praised for that, the next-gen xBox 360 for some stupid reason features a well spread "core" sku that LACKS the important HDD, even though the older system had it. Thats some serious miscalculation on Microsofts side there and it will come back and haunt them for sure, actually it already is.

Highly unlikely that the delay is to add a new control scheme, that would take much longer than 3 weeks including new QA tests etc.
The "added leaderboard and trophys" reason sounds right considering the small amount of delay.

If people would get their heads out of the place where the sun does not shine, they would have read that Sony is still awaiting "CNC certification" before being able to legally sell PS3 in Argentina. CNC is the local rippoff replacement for FCC and will work as fast as them ... aka in snailspeed.
Its the same with Europe and the "CE" certification, either you get it, or you do net sell anything electric in Europe - period.
