They didn't "give up". They "gave in" to the temptation of all those Christmas purchases. haha.
I feel bad for the developers because they clearly had something special on their hands but didn't get to finish it. Hopefully the executives who forced this decision are forced out.
That figure comes from some time in 2019.
EDIT: Hadn't reloaded the page and seen the comment above mine.
Ghostrunner is a huge omission for me as well. Dope game.
I asked myself the same thing when I saw the original trailer. I would put it down to a lack of self-awareness, tbh. At 0:52, for example, is just bad camerawork that makes Jesus look like the size of a building. haha
They're waiting for TheQuartering to give them a conspiracy to explain it all away. haha. Foxtrot will be the first to tell us
To be fair, any dev will tell you that Control is a much more CPU-intensive game (lots of destruction, i.e. real-time calculations which can cause huge framerate spikes). That kind of destruction is not in Miles Morales which runs on PS4 just fine without all the bells and whistles. Control doesn't and it wasn't down to bad optimization.
Not insulting Spiderman (it's a great, beautiful game), just being objective. Also, those games only hit that benchmark (60fp...
TheQuartering's audience are absolutely crazy. The guy lost his shit because he couldn't see Jill Valentine's panties in the Resi 3 Remake. 😂 He's the most easily offended person I've ever seen. It's all superficial nonsense with loads of videos about Abby having big muscles and thumbnails mocking Ellie for being being gay ("EPIC FAIL"). He didn't even play TLOU2 or the first game and somehow made 70 videos about it.
These guys ...
"This vote? You could vote as many times as you liked if you refreshed page enough." Not true. A lot of attempted votes, Foxtrot? haha.
But seriously lads, can we just stop fighting over TLOU2 already? It's an indisputable fact that millions enjoyed the game - it has a ridiculously high 60% completion percentage despite being played by a large audience and being quite long. That can't be explained away.
And you know what? Ghost came sec...
This article is just saying that it's one of the best games of 2020. They have an article of the same format for the FF7 Remake: https://www.gamespot.com/ar...
NOTE:
I'm mostly talking about the console port (it was pulled off the PS Store which is objectively a sign of failure). I know that it's a good game underneath the bugs and the performance issues. But even so, it's still too glitchy on PC as well and there are aspects of the game like the AI (across the board, even the traffic routing) that aren't very good and which will probably be updated in the future.
If you wait until next year, you'll ge...
True. You gotta love that the channels that went after this game for political reasons (not talking about people who just didn't like it) we're angrily defending Cyberpunk against every valid bit of criticism. Now Cyberpunk has been pulled from the PS Store.
They riled up their fans so much that they sent fake messages of support to the journalist who warned that she got an epileptic seizure while playing Cyberpunk ... to induce another one out of spite (they succee...
With the failure of Cyberpunk, this is easily GOTY for me.
This story was posted yesterday and has already been debunked. Cities Skylines is currently free until tomorrow evening (18th)
Glad I don't buy Ubisoft games anymore
@RgR
"But with Neil on the helm...yea this is likely the end of quality storytelling for Naughtydog"
Neil Druckmann was the main writer on The Last Of Us and Uncharted 4 and co-directed both games. If you think TLOU had a good story, then you think that Neil wrote a good story. It's his world (creative director). The Last Of Us and the relationship between Joel and Ellie would never have been what they were without him. Less feelings, more f...
You know, CDPR are promising to fix it in patches coming in January and February. If they succeed, it will just further prove that the game was not ready for release.
55% in that poll are either seeking a refund or waiting for patches to fix it. Only 21% selected "I'm toughing it out" and are actually continuing to play it on PS4 and Xbox One. This is worse than Just Cause 3's console port.
Hot Pursuit was the last great NFS game. Just about everything since has been a bit naff.
A lot of people aren't even going to remember this as being a good game despite its quality because of these versions and all of the bugs plaguing every version of the game. It's all just a real shame. We got Cyberpunked
Don't really understand this comment. The article was only recently approved so there hasn't been much time for comments.
We're talking about a game that was regularly hitting 15fps. This increase in performance within just 10 days proves that the game was not released in a finished state. They are still in the optimisation and bug fixing phase. Are you really disputing that?
And I'm certainly not a "hater". I want the developers...
