Remedy, FromSoftware, and BluePoint would be good choices. I'm pretty sure that BluePoint is already in the bag.
Looking at Sony's recent investments ($1.2b for CrunchyRoll, $3.7b for EMI), it seems like they can afford to buy some large studios but I suppose they need to be careful with what they invest in.
Buying Japanese publishers would pricey and kind of pointless for them since they already have great relations and their games sell far better on PlayStation anyway.
Many of the best scoring games among critics are indie games though. Hades just won GOTY at many outlets.
What game(s) did you like that critics disliked or were more critical of?
Under Accessibility on the PS5, you can select a lower level of trigger resistance or turn it off completely. Same thing for vibration. That should solve the issue for you if it's affecting your enjoyment of the game.
Terrible month. Detroit and Black Ops 3 (available for a limited time) are already in the PS Plus Collection, and Detroit was also a free game on PS Plus years ago. WWE 2K Battlegrounds is terrible. Only the smaller games that were added are good additions.
PS Plus is way better than PS Now right now (quality > quantity) and has been good for a long time, and great since the PS5 released. I was tempted to subscribe to PS Now over the holidays but I just didn't trust ...
@esherwood
No, mockingly saying "That didn't take long" in this case is pretty bad, although I'm sure Jin_Sakai just didn't read the article.
The guy isn't leaving because of issues with the project. It's for personal reasons - his brother apparently died. He's put years of his life into this game ( https://www.linkedin.com/in... ...
Look at 1:51 onwards. The game looks so different with and without raytracing - it REALLY amplifies the game's style and atmosphere. By default, I'd usually go with 60fps but this is a touch choice.
@StoneyYoshi
Damn, that's a lot of different roles. Sounds like your wages have increased a lot in the last few years
Your comment strangely reminded me of the best scene in the 90s Body Snatchers movie.
"Where you gonna go? Where you gonna run? Where you gonna hide? Nowhere. Because there's no one, like you, left."
Oh yeah, and Stadia's future is probably darker than that quote. haha. It's probably, just about, making enough money to justify its existence for now though
@purple101
I misused the word "locked" but the game is capped at 30fps. It loads faster and is a perfect 30fps on PS5 but it can't currently go beyond that without optimizations which may not happen
@purple101
Optimizations has not been announced for Wreckfest on the new consoles (last gen version locked to 30fps) so I wouldn't get my hopes up because you might end up being disappointed. It took them ages to even bring Wreckfest to consoles.
Open world arcade racers are the best selling racing games, and sell way more than sims. The Forza Horizon games are much bigger sellers than the standard sim Forzas, for example, and Horizon 4 was the best selling racing game ever on Xbox. Criterion's NFS game is also likely to be a big hit.

Speed Limit, The Shore and Taxi Chaos (not much gameplay) look pretty cool.
@SullysCigar
"Days Gone got hit by the SJWs and the fact that there were lots of performance issues at launch"
The technical issues were never the main criticism of DG. Most people in this comment section are saying that they trust Easy Allies - they gave DG a 7.5 (slightly above the average score of 71). Are they SJWs too because they acknowledged DG's flaws?
If reviewers just give scores based on politics, how did Mafia ...
I've had this since 2011 (misdiagnosed by a doctor who wouldn't listen to me and insisted it was Raynaud's) and I can't use the standard sticks on the Dualsense or Dualshock 4 for my left thumb and had to replace them with convex sticks.
I've gotten injections to reduce the inflammation and they basically just messed up my hands for a month with no tangible benefit. Specialists who deal with these problems deal with older patients with far more serious c...
I have fairly high hopes for this.
Fall Guys was good fun but it got old in about 2-3 hours for me since you're just repeating the same few mini-games over and over again, whereas Rocket League never got boring and I still enjoy it (it did evolve a lot over time as well though).
That doesn't really matter. The point is, their exclusive lineup has been mostly mediocre for a decade. And besides, Microsoft traditionally relied VERY heavily on third parties for exclusives, e.g. original Gears Of War games, Alan Wake, Sunset Overdrive, Rise, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect (before EA made it multiplatform), Titanfall 1, Left 4 Dead, etc.
A big publisher coming out and saying this is a very good thing for the industry, although even EA and Activision have been moving away from loot boxes in most of their games to Battle Passes. Sports games are probably stuck with loot boxes forever though
Make sure to download the PS5 version of Control as well (PS5 upgrade is included in Ultimate Edition).
When you add it to your library, it will probably come up as the PS4 version initially so it's quite easy to accidentally download the wrong version
Yeah, I don't want a game to ease up on me just because I'm struggling with a section unless I make the choice to turn down the difficulty.
Adaptive AI is basically just rubber banding unless the parameters are quite narrow - it reduces the satisfaction of victory and mastering the mechanics since the game will just artificially get harder, and it dulls the impact of loss since a game would put on kids gloves if you're playing badly.
It's ...
