lol. The financial reports tell a very different story. You're parroting misinformation from, to be frank, corporate apologists like Colin Moriarty and Andrea Renee who never source any actual evidence for how unprofitable games are, nor could they if tried.
This is a lazy, barebones "remaster" like 3D All-Stars - it's basically just a port of an old game. Anyone who knows anything about games development knows that ports and remasters are incredibly cheap...
Yeah, they've gone very quite on the next gen version. Probably won't see it until at least the Summer at this rate.
I don't really get why this is such a regularly debated topic. As long as a game has a strong hook that keeps you playing, it doesn't have to be fun in the traditional sense.
A horror game in the vein of Alien Isolation or Outlast is not necessarily "fun", and they can actually be very unpleasant, but the intensity of the experience keeps you playing.
Outlast isn't fun at all, really. You feel utterly powerless, and the music and sou...

I didn't miss your point. You asserted that you were being more "nuanced" while refusing to acknowledge America's "war crimes and abuses" at all, and I'm simply telling you that America is responsible for the killing of 1 million civilians very recently, and it was a horrific, inexcusable war crime. It was obviously very relevant to the topic of this article.
You're trying to muddy the waters but it's common...
I don't think this game is going to vilify America. This company previously had contracts with the American government
@Pricey
On the topic of this article, 1 million civilians were killed during the Iraq War
This is about the $300 Series S, not the $500 Series X
And RazerRedux is right actually, there clearly is some trolling going on in this comment. haha
"a certain type of gamers sitting out in the rain looking thru the window with puppy dog eyes wanting to come in the house and play with us" applies to the shortage of Xbox exclusives over the last decade as well.
I'm a PS guy but I always acknowledge and defend when the other platforms do good things. There was a lot of downplaying of the benefits of backwards compatibility on this site just because the PS4 couldn't play PS3 games which I got into a lot of arguments over, and now we're all excited for 60fps patches for PS4 games.
Already having next gen games on Gamespass is very cool. PS Now would benefit greatly from PS5 games. PS Plus is much better than Games with G...

I do understand the broad differences between viruses, parasites and bacteria. I just remember being told in school that viruses are technically microscopic parasites. I checked and I'm pretty sure I'm right about that. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih... My comment was v...
A parasite is a virus so it's not really any more politically correct. "Quarantine" just reminds everyone that they're in a lockdown which we're all exhausted from.

EDIT: another spam account, undoubtedly from the guy who spams dislikes and weird comments here like it's a part time job. Get a life, dude.
UNEDITED: I was just noting that most next gen games have made players pick between 60fps or ray-tracing, and it's impressive that both will be active here. I wasn't focusing on whether it's native 4K or not.
Many games have achieved a locked 60fps on the PS5 (e.g....
Those were already confirmed last year (free), and were mentioned in the article.
Honestly, this article should not have been approved as the original press release has much more detail. https://www.4a-games.com.mt...

It looks okay but some of the game's personality (e.g. visual comedy) has being toned down in those screenshots with the loss of the Pixar look. That last screenshot of Crash in the default version is so striking and weird. haha. It's great.
The reason they're doing this makes sense though. The N Sane Trilogy on the Switch had a poor resolution (720p docked, 480p handheld) and some issues with input lag. Reducing asset quality will yield a sharper, more stable p...
Yeah. It's fair to say that it's a damn good service but saying that it's "the best thing to ever happen to gaming" is ... a tad hyperbolic. haha.
This writer really is saying that Games Pass is better the creation of gaming itself, every game ever made, the jump to 3D, the jump to HD, multiplayer gaming going mainstream on consoles, dual analogue sticks, the indie market blowing up, etc.
I understand the point being made but it'...
I remember the Series S being available to pre-order on Amazon UK for ages (whenever I would look it was still there). The Series X sold out much quicker but both versions of the PS5 were gone in less than 10 minutes. Just barely managed to get my pre-order.
@Aussiesummer
When they use the term "back catalog", they seem to be referring more to games with recurrent revenue like Siege.
"As an example, six-year-old Rainbow Six Siege added 15 million new players in the last 12 months, growing to 70 million total players since launch, and is still a major revenue driver for the publisher."
Also, I was saying no "NEW" installments of those games. I know that they'...

Tbh, you only responded to a single line of my comment about black people but not:

60fps for Horizon, TLOU2, Bloodborne, and Death Stranding would be great.
Considering all the different weapons and weapon variations you can get, I think Borderlands 3's use of the the feature is really good.
I'd often hold onto weapons because of how good or unique they'd feel with the controller, even if their stats weren't actually that great. haha
