They updated the game to 4K 60fps on the Series X for free. That wasn't a native port I suppose and definitely isn't as good as this PS5 version (missing a lot of improvements), but ... this is a tad dodgy. haha.
They better at least put some effort into the haptic feedback.
A big concern I have is that they are bumping the player count up to 24 - that doesn't sound like you'll be playing with PS4 players. Unless there's cross play wit...
Exactly what I thought when I saw this. Bring on 60fps Horizon!
This is probably just for games that have sequels on the horizon (GOW got this as well) but I hope they have a general initiative to update PS4 exclusives that aren't yet 60fps.
There are rumours about 60fps versions of TLOU2 and Death Stranding but it would be nice to see Bloodborne, The Last Guardian, Uncharted 4 + Lost Legacy, etc get that treatment as well and for Shadow Of The Coloss...
Except you can't upgrade the physical Xbox One version to the Series X|S one.
This is the one thing that I hate about being a PS fan. I really hope that they're working on a solution but I just don't believe they are anymore.
People paid money for years to STREAM old games on PS Now. The idea that PS fans don't to play PS3 games (not that different from PS4 games) is obviously bullshit.
Pulling the PS3 PS Store without getting backwards compatibility sorted first is a big mistake. If enough fans complain (bad PR) and st...
Only half of my Crash 4 trophies transferred.
As with many articles about this game, someone is using spam bots to dislike comments ... but hasn't used them on the replies so it's a bit obvious. haha.
"that's the sort of fanbase this game has." It wasn't fans who posted thousands of 0s on Metacritic before almost anyone had even gotten to the title screen, mate. haha.
The second TLOU2 started winning all of the big user-voted GOTY awards (e.g. IGN user award), they suddenly didn't matter anymore. Many people like the game. That's just the way it is.
It's losers using spam bots again.
Australia's Classification Board and its censorship laws are deeply conservative, and have been since the 90s for video-games, and much longer for film.
So, a game gets banned in a country based on conservative principles and you somehow manage to shoehorn this into cancel culture. haha. That is something that the real Ted Cruz would try do though, so fair play.
"meaning that there are people out there whose speech means more than that of others...
Hasn't this been free on PlayStation since it was introduced on the Vita almost a decade ago?. Jesus, I can't believe the Vita is that old. haha
There has to be some weird reason why it works with the physical PS4 versions, but not the physical Xbox one, while digital works for both the XB1 and PS4 versions.
If the reason was just greed .. wouldn't owners of the PS4 physical version need to buy it again. It's just odd.
@Lore
No. MS, Sony and Nintendo get a share of all physical sales of games on their platform.
"Microsoft are going to make Xbox Live free. It was be a glorious utopia!!!" - some Xbox fans even after MS tried to double the price. haha
We better still be able to download the games that we purchased. We all of course paid money for those games.
They took the series in a new direction with Resident Evil 7 though.
You can transfer saves and even games over an ethernet cable between the PS4 and PS5. PS Plus isn't required.
A valid criticism of PS Now, but definitely not PS Plus. XBL Gold (forced to exist because of PS Plus) is atrocious by comparison, and PS Plus has particularly good since the PS5 released.
People said that MS were going to make XBL free for months (I thought that was laughable) and then they tried to double the price of Gold to $120. That should have been a reality check.
MS is a corporation and Gold is extremely profitable. They're not going to burn an existing revenue stream if they don't have to. Think about it logically. They won't make more money back by not charging for Gold (this fact is as true now as it was decade ago). Their audience are...
"almost 2 generations" What? Are you talking about the PS3 and the 360?
I agree with the general sentiment that their catalogue of games since the PS4/XB1 has been comparatively terrible to what they used to do though.
EDIT:
I think that PS4 version not getting updated was a business decision to incentivize people to upgrade. This isn't because of Sony's approach to backwards compatibility (would have been a straightforward update like Jedi Fallen Order).
I forgot that Xbox players can play this on GamePass. I'm sure that this will eventually come to Series X|S but only after it leaves GP which is probably complicating the $10 upgrade.
It ...
