Perfectly said.
If you're adamant that you're not removing COD, then what's the harm in getting that in writing?
Their lies have become transparent.
@Hwhite
"They didn't want Hellena Taylor because of prior grievances."
You have no evidence for that either and are just stating speculation as facts. You're acting like there aren't other possible explanations which there definitely are.
The theory that they lowballed her to get rid of her assumes that lowballing isn't something that they normally do. Sadly, I doubt that's the case. They could have lowball...
Kojima also didn't publicly tell lies about the situation either.
"Various overlapping circumstances made it difficult for Hellena Taylor to reprise her role." - Yusuke Miyata, 5th October. They put the blame on her for not having the time.
The theory that they lowballed her to get rid of her assumes that lowballing isn't something that they normally do. Sadly, I doubt that's the case. I believe they lowballed her because she hadn...
They're mostly poor arguments. Their only decent argument was about raising hardware prices but even that is heavily flawed because Sony arguably did that for stakeholders because their stock price plummeted and has continued to decline since the news of the Activision Blizzard acquisition. lol
1. "Sony PlayStation has been the largest console platform for over 20 years."
This statement is deceitful. Sony haven't been on top for 20 years.
...
There is context.
We already know that Platinum publicly lied about what happened ("Various overlapping circumstances made it difficult for Hellena Taylor to reprise her role") and she is correcting those lies, whereas there is no proof that she has lied about anything yet.
I think the opposite is true. They likely believed that she WOULD take the offer and that they could get away with lowballing her because she hadn't gotten much recent work if you look at her IMDB (trying to advantage of the fact that it would be hard for her to turn it down). But when she did reject the offer, it just ended up costing them more money. lol.
A good actress who can competently impersonate her (they couldn't afford for Bayonetta to sound terrible and N...
The second option is better, I think. It doesn't make sense to only remake Dead Space 1 (bringing in a new audience) and then just jump straight to Dead Space 4.
With the work they've put in, remaking 2 will probably be easier for them than remaking the first game was (easy money for them and most people will want it).
I don't know if I trust them to make an alternative Dead Space 3 though. I suppose they could just go with the concepts for D...
So what? Her performance is undeniably a large part of the appeal of the franchise - the character's name is in the title. With a different voice actor, Bayonetta could have ended up being painfully cringeworthy. She sold the material.
The new voice acting is so off that people genuinely thought it was a different character and that there'd be a twist where the original Bayonetta would show up later. lol.
Over a small amount of money, they'v...
See hasn't done any VA work for a while so all the attention this is giving her might actually help her get a role in something, tbh (it could be good PR).
I've failed to stand up to an employer's bad behaviour before which had a really negative affect on me, and I wish I had the guts to do what she's done.
Platinum lied about why so she's not in the game: "Various overlapping circumstances made it difficult for Hellena Taylor to ...
To be fair, they're not just 2 sci-fi horror games. Callisto Protocol is a spiritual successor to Dead Space with the same creator with similar signature gameplay tropes (e.g. the stomping), and crucially, they come out within a month of each other.
The author didn't focus enough on the only real problem with them being so similar (as I said, they're releasing on top of each other, and competing for mostly the same audience). He just leaves it as subtext.
@Petebloodyonion
"Sony owns the right to the MOVIE but now seems, for some unknown reason own, the gaming rights in the console space." You've connected the dots incorrectly. The reason is not unknown. tinyurl.com/2x24ja93
Microsoft passed on an offer to partner up with Marvel to make games based on Spider-Man. They decided to focus on their own IP instead. It was given to them on a silver platter. They were paying for stuff like Rise Of The Tomb Raid...
@HotMoltenLava
From what we know, none of their games will be exclusives as stipulated by Bungie.
Sony mainly bought them (for a much higher price than they're technically worth) because they're trying to make loads of multiplayer games, and Bungie will help guide their other studios to avoid making the same mistakes.
Sony obviously would have wanted their games to be exclusive, but since they're not, it's not having a ...
@oof46
Stop gaslighting people, man. It's MS's intention to remove COD from PlayStation. That's why Spencer offered 3 years beyond the existing marketing deal - after that, they intend to pull it. And they only made that offer to try make it easier to get the acquisition approved.
I forgot to mention Valheim (a very successful game on PC) being a 2023 timed exclusive as well.
Lad, Street Fighter 5 came out 3 months after Rise Of The Tomb Raider (a traditionally PS franchise) which was one of the most egregious examples of this practice. Back then, nobody was forthcoming about the exclusivity period either. Titanfall 1 was a full exclusive and arguably killed the long term health of that franchise.
I still remember being really disappointed that Episodes from Liberty City didn't seem like it was coming to PS3. They introduced the policy of DL...
Games like Resistance: Retribution have already been rated as well so they have some stuff ready.
I think they still don't have a healthy supply of classic games for the next few months and they have to really spread them out ... so because of all those Yakuza remasters on Premium this month ... they made the decision to hold off putting up more PSP or PS1 games until next month. :(
They need clearer communication on this. They could have said that we...
Only if they're full 3D games and in line with the canon of MGS1 onwards (loads of stuff from MG1 and MG2 got retconned).
That would be a huge undertaking though and I wouldn't trust Konami to do that right. I think most of us just want to be able to play these games on modern machines (along with MGS4).
Also, the top comment on the NFS Unbound trailer is "Remember guys, we just want a fun game to play!"
lol. People don't normally say stuff like that for a franchise that's remained fun, and didn't go downhill in quality. It speaks to the audience's frustration with Ghost Games' output for the last decade.
Nah, Hot Pursuit is easily to best NFS game since the PS2 era. It's brilliant, and at least Most Wanted (2012) was fun to play. It just shouldn't have been called Most Wanted.
I'd rather play a game that's actually fun rather than praising bad games and giving them brownie points just because they're trying (and failing) to imitate NFS Underground.
Ghost Games delivered a decade of mostly poor racing games offering little enjoyment. Th...
He was given 25 times the amount she was offered at least (not accounting for inflation).
