Have you played the game? Wondering what some N4G users think of it
If they are porting it to PS4 it will need a better framerate than what they deemed acceptable on the base XB1. Did they ever even fix it?
Jesus. I just looked back and noticed the reaction to my comment. As I said, I wasn't making excuses for them. I want them to move to a new engine. The Creation Engine is plagued with issues. You said, "Why keep it around? I honestly don't get it," so I proceeded to explain why they've avoided moving to a new engine. Simply put, it would be a fuck load of work.
When it comes to games engines, no one creates them from scratch. Programming is iterative...
The PS4 has outsold the Switch by a good margin this year and it has never sold 20m units in a single year either so good luck with that. From your comments it's difficult not to conclude that you're a bit disturbed
People who go around calling other people "entitled" because they have a negative opinion or simply don't share the same opinion are some of the dullest people on the planet.
People flied out to BlizzCon hyped for a new Diablo game and then they got this. Blizzard didn't manage attendants' expectations, along with their audience at large.
Also, people who go around calling people "entitled" in response to every negative opinion every uttered are the most boring people on the planet.
Making a new engine from scratch would take a substantial amount of time and would effectively delay development on their games for at least a year or so (well, that's my estimate anyway). Not excusing them but it would be a large undertaking
... 3-4 years later: "Last gen was the last sub 4K gen...Games will finally pop as intended." Hopefully with full backwards compatibility there won't be a need for plain, straightforward remasters (hopefully free updates) next gen
To be fair to the game, you have to remember digital and PC sales. Overall, it likely sold around 1 million units in its first week and the sales seem on par with Rise
Wholeheartedly agree. She's a terrible character.
Glad I didn't buy this game. It's so scummy to include these micro-transactions weeks after launch so they won't be accounted for in reviews and millions already own the game and will just have to put up with them (just like MW Remastered). I'll be putting my money towards other games
Cory in the House 2 please. Or perhaps a remake?
I take no issue with them heavily discounting the game (besides maybe the Season Pass since none of it is even out yet to the best of my knowledge) but the game actually doesn't seem to be selling that well. Estimated first week physical sales are already up on VGChartz and they're a bit week (around 682,000).
"Corporate Commando, reporting for duty!!!"
Just because you like a game doesn't mean that you need to make excuses for the parts of it that are lacking. They put a lot of effort into the single-player aspect of the game (lots of content and customization) but the walls of text are admittedly kind of lame. If you're going to do something, do it well or else it will likely become a con. A wacky story with the occasional short cutscene between fights to liven things up would have been fun. Tekken games have done this. It's re...
This score is WAY higher than other outlets. The IGN score isn't logged on Metacritic yet (as i stands, it's at 63 on PS4).
Bulletstorn was really fun but yeah, the jokes and the voice acting were just terrible. I'd be okay with the vulgarity if it was used more effectively. I never researched whether the Duke Nukem pack was any good but anything would be better than a Gears Of War-type voice actor screaming "Take that, shit maggot!!!" over and over again. Gives me the shivers just thinking about it
If there was anything notable, surely you'd have the confidence to name 1 or 2? It has definitely been a quiet year for PC. Not much has come out that has really interested my Steam friends, that's for sure. They've been receding towards older titles. Celeste, Guacamelee 2 and Dead Cells and some others were pretty good but I wouldn't say this year has been hectic for indie games relative to other years, let alone PC-only indie games.
Both of you lads are fools
Only 3 of the top grossing PS1 games are on the PS1 Classic. Why put Rainbow Six over Driver from Ubisoft? Bizarre choice
