I recall seeing a documentary where one vet remarked about how he saw the most beautiful sunrise he'd ever seen... just before the bombs started going off.

Or Folklore for the PS3. Some of the backgrounds are a little bland, but the characters and magic effects are pretty.

You'd be surprised. Cardiovascular workouts come in all sorts of flavors.

Remember, all you do when you ride a bike is move your legs in circles. :)

How you figure that? Lots of overweight people go exercise to try to lose weight and are just fine. Lots of outwardly healthy people fall over dead from heart attacks because they ate like crap their entire lives, and yet weren't overweight.

According to what guidelines?? I'm six foot even and I weigh 210... with 9% body fat. Granted I have a big frame from my dad's family, but still.

Not saying he's not overweight, but I don't need or desire some computer to tell me my health by some arbitrary guidelines. Especially since according to the BMI index, I'm very overweight when anyone can look at me and see that I'm not.

I'm willing to bet that as a 6'8" person, he is an overall very big guy, not the s...

Same here. This is much better than 2, even as a release candidate.

And I wish all games had a topless mode. That is until they make "Old Fat Guy: The Game".

Yeah, you have to be a special breed of OCD to play an MMO for months on end. No other genre can tap that market, no matter the fancy graphics. :)

No, I doubt we'd get a PS3 price cut til the end of the year either way. As long as they're selling, Sony won't cut prices. They got themselves way in the hole with the PS3, so every dollar they can at least not lose, they will.

So unless the PS3 demand goes way down, we won't see a price cut until the holiday season.

No, many Chinese manufacturers were specifically denied entry into Blu-Ray because the consortium new that the cheaper Chinese products would drive prices down right away. Sony and the others didn't want that to happen because it have meant they would lose money on the new technology with no money-making market in place. This happened to the DVD market back when it first came out. The Chinese started pumping out inexpensive players and the market soon collapsed.

Well, I'm glad someone here tries to defend GameStop at least a little.

I understand what the author is saying, but as an employee I can tell you some things cannot be helped.

The pre-order offers have to be made. Management clamps down on our balls to push those things. I never do them, but I still have to ask others to. As for the walking out of the store and walking back in, that is just an anal employee. There are policies concerning two copies of the same game, ...

This article is an epic fail.

I wonder when Chris is going to get his record back. He's broken 900,000, just not in the presence of a Guinness judge.

Do you try to do a mixture of the two guitars for what parts you can play, or just try to nail one enough to make the song? I can't play fast enough for much of any of that song, but I can still ask. :)

I watched Dragonforce in concert once, honestly wasn't my favorite. I'm not much of a shred fan, though. While I admit Herman Li and Sam Totman have some serious skills, for me they too often just tried to play TOO fast. While I don't have a problem with speed, it just seems that ...

Since you bought this from Dell, you might consider that the problem isn't so much Vista, as the rest of the crap Dell probably loaded onto it.

Whenever my family/friends buy a computer, the first thing we do is copy drivers onto a disc, then wipe the hard drive. Any computer from Dell or whomever, is usually so full of bloatware, that your CPU cycles are already being eaten alive right out of the box.I built this PC for about $1500, and it's running Vista very smoothly, and its ...

I don't really see how it qualifies as news, though. It's the same arguments that have been scattered about the internet (and this site) a hundred times before. Just sprinkling in the author's dislike of Vista doesn't justify a regurgitation of the same old article.

And my personal opinion: we're probably going to have the same articles and arguments repeated once Windows 7 hits. "This new OS strains my old PC, BOOOOO!" "This OS isn't XP, BOOOOO!" "I've n...

No, it's more like Activision is MAKING them make this game. Activision has made it publicly known that will milk their franchises to death. A Tony Hawk every year, fourth Guitar Hero game (not counting 80's and Aerosmith) in four years, scores of Call of Duty games for various consoles since '03 and now even a card game.

Activison is exactly what EA has been for a while and is trying to somewhat get away from.

What I laughed at is that a lot of the complaints I heard from them are easily transported over to Halo, and it got reviews out the wazoo.

Cardboard cutout characters? Check.
Retarded level design? Check.
Backtracking? Check.
Braindead AI driving you around? Check.

Not that I think Haze is really all that great, but I still laughed.

Hey, the Singstar series has sold like 10-15 million copies. Laugh all you want, but a lot of people enjoy karaoke, and will be into the future. I personally don't, but I still realize that it's several hundred thousand sales that the Xbox won't have.

I vote for Sam Raimi, if only for the idea that Bruce Campbell as Solid Snake completes his mission with only three things: a shotgun, a chainsaw, and a list of awesome tag lines.
