Yeah, that's cop code for one of two things:
1. The boys made stuff up to try to get out of it
2. The cops "enticed" them to say it in order to make a stink
Looking at the present day numbers, that's a hard pill to swallow.
But imagining a future market where the majority of TVs owned are hi-def and Blu-rays are sold at reasonable prices... then it's a retardedly obvious statement.
I have to admit the tackle demonstrations have been awesome so far, but until I see some actual gameplay video and not glorified tech demos, I refuse to be excited for this game.
I mean, what good is Euphoria if the game plays like NFL Fever?

But I totally understand where this article is coming from. Most black game characters are steretyped in some kind of way, but I don't think it's ALWAYS a negative thing. If I have a choice between some white guy having angst about morality and saving the universe, and some black guy who says 'F*** it!" and blows the crap outta everything... I'm going with the black guy.

Every company copies some things. They have to in order to appease the consumers who are being shortchanged, and to gain new people with their "new" tech or app. Sony is adding "Live-like" features to XMB, MS added HDMI and may even add Avatars or their own "Home", Nintendo finally realized online play was expected of them and is at least trying. It's just the way things work, and always will with competition.

They're making quite a good bit. Just compare the earnings to last year and you'll see what GTA did pretty well by itself.
While I can't wait for LBP, I can't help but feel that it's likely to end up in the same boat as games like Psychonauts, Beyond Good & Evil, and Ico. Games that had huge critical acclaim.... that few bothered buying.
If those are real, I think that'd be awesome for PSN to have.
One thing I've always appreciated Live for is just the ability to pause your game, jump to the dashboard, and see what the friend who popped up five minutes ago is doing. You know, in case his COD4 Achievments are way below mine, I'll invite him to a game so I can shoot him in the face.
I agree. It's so cool that they are all sharing information instead of trying to 1up each other and fight to keep a job like other studios under other publishers have to (I'm looking at you, Activision and EA).
If any of you remember, Insomniac gave a big presentation on how to utilize the Cell better. Outlines and powerpoints on process allocations and timing. That was so cool, just opening up others to stuff they had worked out.

I agree, everyone needs a PS2. A cheap console with a huge amount of quality games to play, the majority of which are in the "Greatest Hits" discount section. Why would you NOT want one?
On an alternative note, I wonder how many PS3s have not been bought because there are still PS2s around??
