I prefer "The Big Red O".
That way I can at least turn it into something dirty to amuse myself.
For real. Fallout Boy and The Hold Steady but not Led Zeppelin IV, Metallica's "Master of Puppets".... no Rolling Stones, no Beatles.
I'd also like to see some more bluesy stuff. I LOVED playing Texas Flood and Crossroads on the first GH, so I'd love to get to play more SRV or Clapton. Wouldn't even mind something old like BB King, or more contemporary guys like Joe Bonamassa or really young Jonny Lang.
You just want that cellulite arse. ;)
I liked the old, drunk Pikachu. LOL
As much as I hate my PS3 not having the vast number of quality RPG's that its predecessor did, I am at least glad my 360 is getting them.
So far, it seems that either MS is much more willing to pay out money for this exclusivity, or is at least outbidding Sony on them.
We had a few more than that, but the line to get them ate them up quick.
I'm interested to see the NPD results for this month... seems those bundles sold out the wazoo.
True, but the latency involved in doing that is so much that it's largely foolish to even try it.
It doesn't fail at all. When you take into account the fact that any process is using either the CPU or GPU only, and each of those has 256MB of RAM, then it can theoretically be limited to the 360 which will let you use whatever % of 512 that you need.
Just because people can copy and paste speed numbers, that doesn't mean they know what they're talking about. And I'm talking about these comments, not the author of the article.
What the author said makes a lot of sense, but how he said it makes him look kind of dumb.
If you look at the performance charts of the 360 and PS3, you'll see that the RAM bandwidths are actually very similar, even with the huge difference in clock speed. Here is why:

Well, I agree and disagree.
Halo 3 -- While I think it was overhyped, I still don't think the PS3 has an exclusive shooter that tops it just yet. Resistance was solid, but obviously launch material.... however, I think Resistance 2 (and maybe Killzone 2) will be better, but they're not out yet.
Dead Rising -- Right on... great game.
Mass Effect -- Would love to see it for the people who can't play it... but in the meantime, Folklore is a solid PS3 RPG. ...
Amen, Bladestar. I made a comment about Sony and Microsoft developing and innovating in different areas of technology, and that often they had to use each other's tech in some way.
Specifically, I said that Sony developed Blu-ray, but also uses VC-1 as one of it's supported codecs. Well, needless to say, ignorant fanboys nailed lit it up with disagrees and the like. Even one of the big contributors here dug in, acting like he knew what he was talking about.
He didn't...
That is one of my biggest gripes with PC gaming compared to consoles... immediate patching. You know it's gotten really bad when there are patches available ON LAUNCH DAY!! It's just like the developers put a note on front of the case saying, "This game isn't complete, but we want your money anyway."
My other two gripes... the insane number of hackers in any competitive MP game, and the high expense of keeping up technologically.
True. Kind of interesting why they didn't test Crysis, as it's prolly the only reason I'd ever buy such a expensive setup.
Wonder if beta drivers or something were giving Crysis fits? Would make sense.
Don't forget the spew of "Haxor!!" chants.

I bow to you, sir.
Or some "life lessons" a la Jack Handey.
"Deep Thoughts with Solid Snake." I can see it now....
I read it and see that in the case of the black console obliterating the white one, they make a bunch of excuses for the black one... but yet when a white one wins, they just basically say, "Suck it, black!!" instead of giving any sort of reason WHY the white one won or WHY the black one lost.
Retarded article.
Damn, I went through a couple acts before I took a break and got on here. Ah well, second time through, I'm going for the big money.
Well, without going into too much, 33 is just too much to compress down that far, especially considering how much of that is HD video. If we had compression THAT good, we'd have very little need of Blu-ray in the first place.
And as for the Blu-ray drive, yeah it's slower. Its 2x BD transfers at about 9MB per second, as compared to the 360's 12X DVD transferring at around 16MB per second. That's part of the reason for the HDD installs... but honestly, the 360 would benefit from i...
