Well, technically EA did the PS3 version of Orange Box, but I still agree with what you said.
Don't forget that he used to work for Microsoft. Also check their announcement about all the 360 titles they are doing.. but nothing for PS3 or Wii. Simply put, he's either being paid very nicely by MS, or is at least taking care of the company that was paying him very nicely.
I'm a bit surprised they didn't already have this waiting for the firmware. Uncharted already has medals to earn, I would assume those medals would transfer to trophies easily enough.
In console gaming, Microsoft hasn't done a terrible lot new, simply because they came into the game so late. But overall, Microsoft has came up with a ton of good programs, languages, etc.
And I'm not talking about Windows. LOL
No, Al Gore did.
The fact is that in this business, few companies do things truly original. At most they do something that eventually becomes console standard.
Control sticks... believed to be invented in 1944, then migrated to gaming back in the 70's. "Force feedback"... they worked on that stuff in the 50's. Hard drives... invented in 1956.
My point is, that neither Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo come up with a bunch of new technology. They all just take other people's idea...
Hey, hey, Al Gore did invent the internet. And now he's in the process of single-handedly getting rid of global warming.
Sad thing, that is.
But on the other hand, I don't particularly like the idea of Mortal Kombat with the GeOW look, either. I like having color instead of those infinite shades of shiny gray.
It's not entirely conceptual. Their patents include using a guitar-shaped instruments, and unlike other patent trolls, have actually USED their patents. Konami mas been making rhythm games well before Guitar Hero and Rock Band came along.
I agree. If you look on Guitar Hero III's loading screen, you'll notice several patent #s that the game uses. When I looked them up, I found that some of those are ones Activision bought, but some are Konami's that Activision licensed. Viacom (via MTV) didn't bother to license those patents, so now they are getting sued.
True, but I would like the cutscene viewer for sure. It was cool to have on Subsistence, so if there is a MGS4 "redux", I hope it's there again.
Why would this look make it drop off your radar? This more artistic direction to me better suits Prince of Persia than the more "realistic" look other games try to achieve.
Oh come on, while Warrior Within was a bit of a step back, The Two Thrones was right up there with Sands.
Prince: Most people think time is like a river that flows swift and sure in one direction. But I have seen the face of Time, and I can tell you… they are wrong. Time is an ocean in a storm. You may wonder who I really am, and why I say this. Come… and I will tell you a tale like none you have ever heard…
That line repeated at the end of Two Thrones brought the bi...
Yeah, it was expensive. But it matches my silver PS3 oh so nicely.

Sexy, beautiful, amazing. Mine.
While it's sad that AMD isn't quite the innovator that it was several years back, it's understandable that they can't immediately put out new tech like Intel can.
AMD has lost a lot of market share, and has been bleeding money. They can't afford to pump the kind of money into new tech that Intel can, and even still, to constantly put out chipsets that few can and would buy is not good business for a company stuggling to catch up.
She'll be on Fox News in no time, if not already.
Same here. I'm all for trying to help cure cancer and all, but my electric bill choked out my goodwill pretty quickly.
No doubt they do. I honestly was surprised by the rumor as Ep2 hasn't been out a year yet. And while I love Valve's products, they're not usually the speediest of developers.
And besides, we probably won't see an Ep3 until they also have some extra games to include in an "Oranger Box".
Yeah, the bright Lego bricks look tacky as hell. If someone is going to do this, I'd recommend something more like rubber or felt pads.
I know. How many times did he mention "Dom". And his complaint about the cover was that you couldn't pop out of it automatically looking down the sights.... like you can in guess what, Gears of War.
Go back to rubbing your face on your copies of Halo and Gears, dude.
