So did the Apprentice have a torrid love affair with a Hutt and produce a litter of Force-strong slugs?

Well, I don't agree so much on the boring part, but as to the reverse sword question, I've seen a few couple demonstrations with reversed swords.

One thing to look at:

Not entirely the same, but the SW technique isn't total crap.

It likely won't. The television change, while affecting quite a few people, is easily remedied with a box that the government is subsidizing. It likely won't have any affect on the prices of HDTV, as any new television (SD or HD) will be able to receive the signal, and any older one with a relatively inexpensive box will still work fine.

I was playing COD4 on my old 24" SDTV for quite a while. While it was fun, I having problems picking out people online from any distance off. When I upgraded to my new HD, I could immediately see a huge difference. It was enough of a difference that I even went to using a G3 and M14 as sniper rifles with dot scopes and was pretty effective.

That's not to even mention getting to watch spiffy Blu-ray movies.

I did play the first one and while it was a good RPG (not great, but good). Many people were pissed, though... during production, Peter Molyneux constantly promised a lot of features, and then when the game came out, much of it was nowhere to be found.

So I'm holding off any ideas of purchasing this game until it ships and is actually found to be really good.

Personally, I've had almost nothing but disappointment in Peter Molyneux's for a while now. While some of his...

I've already sold my copy, as it quickly got boring. Even if this DLC is a bunch of really fun stuff to do (jetpacks, tanks, REAL attack choppers), I'll just rent it to play the new stuff.

But being it's probably just more of the same old missions types, I likely won't have to.

Yeah, it's very Psi-Ops like in terms of some gameplay mechanics. But as Psi-Ops was a pretty badass game, I'll take that. :)

Well, if it's a case of "been there, done that", then most games should be off-limits to you. Most gameplay mechanics and experiences nowadays are merely extensions of something that has been done before.

I personally liked the demo, although it did take one run-through just to acclimate to the controls. Second time through it was a much better experience. I ended up throwing stormtroopers at TIE fighters and everything and found a few combos the game didn't tell you ab...

I'm sure McCain could fix it. He's "aware" of the internet. LMAO

True. As long as companies can make money without doing any actual work, things will never change. So if the government has to give them money so that they won't actually have to pay for that work, then I guess that's how it has to be. Makes me love free enterprise, that does.

Also brings up the whole "DD is the future!" rhetoric that has been floating around. Good looking moving to DD for everything when a huge portion of your user base suffers from crappy download spe...

About two days ago, actually.

And DD can take over when you find a distribution method similar to music and when the majority of people have high bandwidth. Right now, neither of those doesn't exist.

So you're why I can never get a new game. I hate you.

Does anyone else realize that articles like this must make game publishers cringe. LOL

But games are incremental expenses, while consoles are one huge expense. I can save 60 for a game much quicker than I can save 500 for the system to run it on.

I personally borrow and rent most of the games I play. The only ones I tend to buy are either something I can play online for a good while COD4 or something that is part of a series I already have, like MGS4 or DMC4. Plus I make sure that for my birthday and at Christmas, I get at least one new game.

Don't consider a game a flop based off one review. IGN gave it like an 8.8, I think. I don't think that's flop material.

Granted, no year-to-year Madden is a big revolution in the way we play video game football, but for me this is the best version in a few years.

definitely a great interview. And I have to say that is the most in shape game designer I've ever seen. LOL

As far as the level graphics in some parts, totally. But the control issues wouldn't be fixed with time as they intentionally went with that control scheme.

6377d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Please, a big part of it's problems was that so much time was spent on it putting in more and more buildings instead of actual content.

What would have made it better would have been more stuff to do like in previous GTA's. Planes, jetpacks, parachutes, tanks. Screw their attempt at "realism" and give me back the fun.

Of course it is, Mr Warner Guy. Anything to make up for you increasingly falling sales numbers, and your complete lack of a desire for anything like, I don't know.... good music??

Same here. There were a few extra things I wanted to do like flying a chopper under the bridges, and making my car flip enough times. But as for things like shooting all the pigeons.... ummmm, no.
