Mine was my very first trophy. It was nothing special, but the fact that Sony was finally rewarding gameplay was a treat all its own.
I see a copy of Fuego beside the sign. I don't know about proving a PS3 price cut, but it does prove the fact that David Carradine pretty much acts for food nowadays.
Are these guys serious?
Kratos is a black man and is voiced by a black actor. All three of those choices are lame.
It largely has to do with where you sell the games at. For someone like Ubi, you can make more selling a PS3 version locally (Ubi is based in Europe) than you can selling a 360 version you shipped to the States.
Granted, that's a simplistic answer, but the real answer lies in the economic maelstrom of monetary conversion rates, tariffs, number of games sold per system, etc.
True. One person's likes and dislikes doesn't mean anything. But when a majority of the people who DO play it, love it... then I'd say that has a little credit into what makes it critically well-received.
For example, I personally am not a fan of RPGs, but I still realize that games like Mass Effect, Final Fantasy #, Elder Scrolls, etc. are well made and are well-received.
General consensus is really about the only method we have of determining a game's quality. If n...
Case in point... Beyond Good and Evil and Psychonauts. Two brilliant games cursed to sell virtually nothing.
I'm with you jwatt. The only thing I do is bowl and shoot pool. I try to play chess, as I play in real life a good bit... but it's always full.
I would be in Home a lot more than I am now if they can add more games and more spaces to actually play them. But who knows, maybe the actual full release will have a good bit added in, but for right now, a year and a half of development and it still feels slightly underwhelming.
Not to say I don't like it, but right now it ...

And why can't we make crossdressers? One of my favorite pastimes is making the most effed up looking character I can think of.
And dropping the price on PS3's to where they are further lower than it what it costs to manufacture them costs Sony a bunch of money for every customer they earn.
Buy low, sell high. Simple economic strategy. They can't drop it just yet or they already would have.
That article he is thinking might be the one that came out where they gave an updated cost estimate of the PS3. It was around 400 dollars, which could be mistaken for them at least breaking even on every PS3. But the problem with many people's reaction from that article was that they weren't considering all the OTHER costs, which include paying other companies for manufacturing, shipping all these systems worldwide, the declining value of US currency vs the yen, etc.
Economics is...
I just blew a load in my pants......
I personally think a lot of it has to do with disc price point. I have a blu-ray player, and absolutely love it. But do I buy 30-35 dollar movies? Hell no! I rent and enjoy just fine.
The only ones I own are Planet Earth collection, Iron Man, and Transformers... and that's only because they were birthday gifts from my six-digit income brother.
Hey, it's Tupelo, Mississippi. Bubba Onetooth and his wife/sister are insulted.
But yeah, I traded in my copy pretty quick. It just got too repetitive and there were more games I wanted. But just in case this DLC turns out to be good, I'll just rent the game.
No, Uncharted actually had that little something called a story, and character personality instead of "Locust bad, kill all Locust!"
No, but if they have a number that will let me complain about the lack of games, I definitely want it.
Yeah, just this morning, I "accidentally" electrocuted the entire residency of Bowerstone. Oops!
BTW, installing Fable 2 makes a huge difference in sound. That game is such a hog when it comes to DVD spinning.
I don't think it's the same guy. But Athene is the fastest from 1 to 70 straight last I heard.
And for the record, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they didn't give him the record back. The mob-tagging trick is a pretty cheap way to level, if you ask me.
Nope. It did have an ending that wrapped up the series beautifully, though.
