Before Until Dawn and Star Wars Battlefront, I may have agreed that The Order had no console competition.
OT: For me, just talking sheer graphical fidelity on any machine, Battlefront on PC is the best that I've seen......... and by some distance! This is on top of the fact that the game performs exceptionally well on the platform!
Common misconception. All gameplay/cut scenes are "CG". This is just pre rendered, elsewhere, rather than running on their engine (which is everything else they've shown, thus far).
@ YodaCracker: The Order's reception is irrelevant to the point. No one questioned its digital sales, even though they may have been a contributing factor to its sales. It wasn't until Halo 5 didn't reach a "certain sales potential" that people started to question it.
Their Meta scores/reviews aren't relevant.
This is true. Only issue, the majority of its fans have yet to play the game. So, it won't be until early-mid 2017 before we'll know what's really going to be with this franchise.
The Order received the same articles claiming it flopped and hardly anyone batted an eye. All of a sudden, at least since Halo 5's release, it's all about digital vs retail. I find that interesting.
In regards to Tomb raider, I don't know if it "flopped" or not, but I can imagine it would have done much, MUCH better had it released on all three devices (or at least, X1/PS4 simultaneous release).
Yeah, I didn't deny that it was coming to PC. The phrase: "console exclusive" is, usually, the biggest giveaway.
Regarding, YOU, however, well, I can understand why people cringe when you show up to PlayStation topics.
Some people only see what they want to see and can't really be reasoned with. This is one of those instances.
Yes, feels like the PS2 era all over again!
More like Ko, Ko, Jima!
Okay, that sounded better in my head! LOL!
PlayStation Exclusive game from Kojima?! The world has become a much brighter place today! :D
Don't get what, exactly? Seems more like YOU don't get the premise of this game.
OT: Looks fantastic! I'm already picking up PS:VR, but I may have to grab an Oculus, down the line, for a game like this!
It's much less prevalent on PC and PS4, though (the former hardly has this issue at all). Xbox, especially the 360, is/was FULL of noise, racism, and just overall annoyance.
Party chat really has helped, however.
All of the games are Day 1 buys!
Well I don't think anyone was arguing, nor suggesting, that. :P
OT: I'm sure I have the rig to do that and then some!
And why is that? It's published by Koei. Unless there's an NX version down the road, it will very much remain exclusive to the PS4.
Last time I checked, which was just an hour ago, it is VERY MUCH the underdog!
"The studio has been able to create unique games that are born out of true creativity in large part because of the freedom Sony gives Naughty Dog."
I'm going to take their word over yours. Besides, why haven't you pulled up the other studios who have said similar of Sony? If the statement that Naughty Dog made is wrong, show us the other studios who've said that Sony "forced" them to do things they didn't want to do. Hell, show me where Nau...
You attempted to make a point, but, again, haven't proven Naughty Dog wrong in 2015 with an article from an ex-Naughty Dog employee from 2011.
As far as replying, you could just as easily stop replying to me.
It IS true. They've made the games they wanted to make. And no, you weren't on topic. That's really where the deflection started: (post #4). You couldn't handle the positive talk about this company and, instead, sought out an old article to try and make some useless point.
That's funny, too, even with Sony pressuring for change (a very different situation than a company "ordering " the same games be made over and over again), Naughty Dog STILL ma...
"Silent Hills", no. That's owned by Konami. Something like it? Definitely.
