Answer this question, when has a software update EVER made a console much more powerful than before? Then answer this - what "significant advantages" are headed to the X1, that you know about, which Phil Spencer continues to "avoid" telling everyone?
Well, it's true, you cannot make hardware significantly better with software. A slightly higher clocked CPU, particularly on the consoles, won't bring some huge advantage (as evident by nearly every mutli-platform game between the two machines).
There won't be a significant change. Did you not hear it from the horse's mouth? Look up what Phil Spencer says about DX12.
You want a "significant change"? You need new hardware.
Sure, if you reside in LaLa Land.
It's pretty clear that you, just like many others who will follow, did not read the article. As sensational as the headline is, the full read makes sure to point out that DX12 won't remove all of the bottlenecks of the system.
The problem with this article, however, is the claims that the X1's CPU will "widen its gap with the PS4's". For better explanation, in my computer, I'm running Intel's...
How many new IPs have they, also, released on the PS3 and PS4? Who, of the big three, has released the most new IPs and new experiences the most since 2005 (the launch of the Xbox 360)?
When we limit ourselves to just looking at one piece of a very large pie, it's just that, a "limited" piece.
45m will happen before holiday 2016 even arrives (that's less than 10 million in 10 months, easily happenin'). In fact, anything under 50 million is unrealistic.
OT: 35.9m (basically 36 million) in 2 years! THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is insane!
Yeah, you can forget that.
OT: Is it enough? Not for me to decide. Hopefully, this is a lesson for everyone involved and the next installment sees no such hit against it.
Took the words right out of my mouth. It was THE game that a specific set of fans of a certain other brand liked to crap on. So no way it could be forgotten. And, look above, our "most unbiased user" hasn't failed to comment on the game once again. So, yeah.....
A clone made by the same folks who made Dark Souls? Yeah, that makes no sense at all. Without Demon's Douls, which Bloodborne is most like, there would have been no Dark Souls.
Unfortunately, it doesn't get any more real than this. There was once a time that I enjoyed reading his submissions. Not sure what happened. N4G should be about news, not fan flaming opinion pieces.
Oh, this will be a fun little topic to come visit when the game blasts the doors off of these nonsense assumptions!
Then tell us, who in here, that's a confirmed PS fan, has shown any sort of "damage control"... We've heard this several times without seeing any sort of example(s), in here.
That's what I gather. I mean, not that it matters much, but I got 9 disgarees for say that calling something "beautiful" is an opinion.
I'm curious, what person/persons have shown any hate towards this game in here?
"The games looks very beautiful."
Is, in fact, an opinion.
OT: Since it was post on DSOG, I thought they'd be PC shots. Game looks fantastic, regardless, but I'm definitely excited to see the PC version in action!
What gap was narrowed, exactly? The sales difference widened (in both the US and worldwide) in favor of the PS4. I'm not understanding that statement. In fact, you entire post reads like someone who's been hibernating under a rock.
Sony made money on both the PS1 and PS2, and is now with the PS4. Public info, just go look it up.
You say things in a general sense. My view of you doesn't come from what some other PlayStation gamers think. It's the words you type, specifically.
Not a huge deal, I just don't believe that you're as big on PlayStation as you sometimes claim. That's all.
Frankly, based on what I see from you, mostly, I have a hard time believing that you're as pro-PlayStation as you're claiming, here.
OT: Been with PlayStation from the beginning! I knew they'd be a force to be reckoned with, and while they slipped off the track, a bit, with the PS3, things are back to "normal" with them, once again, dominating the gaming scene! Happy to be on-board!
Indeed, but I wouldn't say all of N4G falls for it. It's just the extreme fanatics who hope for some magical miracle that allows their favorite console of the gen to "surpass" the PS4 in power. Of course, the rational folks here know this won't ever happen, but I agree that it is entertaining to watch some jump up and down with excitement over repeated info that even the Head of Xbox has debunked.
